Taking Stock (port) ....A trip away to the neighbours. Sat Nov 9th, 3-0'clock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

And haven't Stockport stiffed us on the ticket allocation? Another reason why a win would be welcomed!

CMG back in training. Geth back in B-team action.

Upcoming possibility of a selection headache for Evatt, or at least a few extra options to have on the bench for Saturday.

I suspect Jones and CMG are likely to appear in the Fleetwood game.

I think their spanking has made Saturday a hell of a lot harder. They’ll be a bit of a wounded animal and the fans and staff will demand a bounce back.

If we only manage to draw, or even a narrow hard fought win, it won’t be good enough for some and Wycombe will be used as the indicator for what we should be winning by

I'd put Collins and McAtee up front to start as neither will work as hard as Dion and Vic later on when we may have to defend a lead. Best bet for the lead is when they fly at us from the off and might just let the drawbridge down. They surely won't want to lose at home after the last result. They did win the League Two title, so...proceed with caution... ae:) ae:)

I'd be tempted to repeat the antics of last match with the 5-2-3 formation. Sure Stockport are a wounded animal and will be looking to grind out a result against us one way or another. Getting them panicking and defending all match will help. Failing that, we revert to the 5-3-2

On the other hand, if we score early - which historically gives us a grand chance of victory anyway - their players and fans will be "here we go again"

I’m glad it’s a test in a way. If we’re sticking with Evatt and we’re heading for play offs again we need to show some steel.

Now I can't get an image of an injured kangaroo out of my head :D

speaking of injured kangaroos, Gethin could bounce back to the bench at Stockport, as could JOT, per Evatt

Just win the game. We are better than them. If we turn up and match their effort and fight we’d win the game majority of the time.

It’s about showing the right mentality and approach week in week out this league. Amazes me that people think otherwise. You can’t afford to have a few weeks where you think you are too good for it or just don’t turn up - we’d be up last season had we matched Derby’s attitude who were a worse team than us technically but made up for it with more consistency and a better spirit.

Every game is a war and you have to play in that way. Full focus, head down, nobody will out run us today.

I’ve got a feeling that we either get turned over or give them a hiding. Dull 0-0 incoming then…

That's covered most bases on scores. Win, lose or a draw. I reckon it'll be one of them, too! :-)

2-0 Whites!

So… 3-4–1-2? I don’t see Vic on the wing.

Compared to last league game at Stevenage:
• Bax in for Southwood
• Forrester in for Toal
• Charles in for Collins

Aye looks more 3-4-1-2 than 3-4-2-1. And welcome back Geth and JOT. First kid-free bench in seven games and only the second since Reading.

Challinor appears to have dropped his first choice keeper.

As far as I know, no update on his knee injury since Oct 28, when we were told he was seeing a consultant and hoping to avoid surgery.
