We all know what is going to happen...
We win go on a mini run Evatt gives it the large one again before consecutive defeats to Wigan and Wycombe?

Aye.
I'd say you were being a tad optimistic there :D
Blackpool haven’t won a league game since September. They aren’t very good. Nothing like the team we beat here last season narrowly or who battered us at their place. That was an ok league one side.

If we can’t win today then pack it up.
Carlisle weren't very good when they turned us over.

Is the weather is bad as it looks up there? Could be a bit of a ‘leveller’ if so.

Does anyone else think it’s odd we’ve not heard any more about the illness pre Stockport? Evatt threw out the line immediately post match but not a whisper since. If players were needing a IVs before the game, then that’s a genuine reason for us being terrible and miles off it. If the squad are all ill then there’s nothing you can do.

Instead the focus has been on attitude, honest words, looking in the mirror, and how it was unacceptable. If players were as ill as was made out post Stockport, all the desire in the world wouldn’t have got them a result. Also, Evatt would be justified in mentioning it again since as a very reasonable contributing factor as to why we lost. There’s not even been an ‘everyone’s now well again and raring to go for Blackpool’ type quote.

Thommo back in the side.

That's a bonus that.

I shouldn't be, but a bit surprised to see McAtee,Collins and Charles all on together up front. I maybe thought Vic would start to rattle the seasiders defence before it gets settled. Please let's not start a goal down, and exercise a bit of dominance early on for a change. COME ON YOU WHITES... :oyea: :oyea:

Would have played matete instead of Mcatee personally, and suspect I am not alone in wanting a proper right wing back instead of the average league one full back that is Dacres Cogley in the side. We’ll see.

I think he's made the right call. You give away goals like he did against Stockport and he should have to work to get back into the squad. We know Matete's probably the additional strength in midfield that we need, just not at the back.

Glad to have Thomason back.

Lets be having it.

Shades of panicky defending kicking in with Blackpool's high press. I'm led to believe that they press really well in other matches this season so the players should be expecting it in any pre-match training.

2 mins in and they're pressing high up the pitch, our lads with no clear passing option. We eventually clear it, but not without the pressure being on that we saw against Stockport. Could we not just count to see if there's more than 5 of theirs in our section of the pitch and then just punt it long?

Very much a non-stick striking trio

Someone might want to tell our lads that the game’s kicked off.

Looks like it's a case of get some quick lads in to chase them down by pressing rather than the Dad Bod, Vic and Jerome combo we had last season.

I'd like at least one big lump option that we can aim for. We're definitely missing a target man that can hold it up. These lads have a lot of work rate but not likely to get it forward and have it stay up.

Sloppy offsides today. JDC has taken at least three bouts of criticism from the lads already. Certainly needs to step up his game.

We look light in the middle of the park as I thought. A few passes across the back and we’re lumping it. Bruce has Evatts number I think.

Problems of our own making yet again. We've got Collins and McAtee wide and no outlet. We're playing long to any one of those and try chasing. Presumably to get in behind their back line. Ball on this surface isn't going to help with it being so wet.

Husband trying to claim he got elbowed by Collins there. A barge if nothing more.

As for Charles' last man dive, he was looking for that rather than being tripped fairly, would've been harsh.

Really happy with how feisty we're being at the moment.

I want to see more than our strikers chasing a long ball and praying the defender will slip or feck up.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. Neither Cogley or Schon look remotely like being involved to me.
