Re: A Novel affair. Home to Mansfield Town Tues 3rd Dec. 1945
Right, the league is all that matters so forget the cups - doesn't matter shit that Adeboyejo scored against Villa kids.
Before tonight:
Charles 6 goals in 986 league minutes (164 minutes per goal, ie just under 2 games)
Collins 3 in 951 (317 mpg, about 3.5 games)
McAtee 3 in 822 (274 mpg, almost precisely 3 games)
Adeboyejo 2 in 688 (344 mpg, 3.8 games)
Of the four strikers, only Charles has reached anything like par for a promotion team. And two of his goals were penalties, another a late grace goal in a 4-1 win; without those (I know, I know) he's about the same as Collins and Adeboyejo.
Considering these are four "top strikers" fighting to compete in a "title-chasing team" – and thus often coming on as subs against tiring defenders - those returns are rubbish.
And that's just the forwards. But I'm afraid Evatt is making good players poorer.

Quadruple change. Always a sign of a manager in full control.
Re: A Novel affair. Home to Mansfield Town Tues 3rd Dec. 1945
Evatt’s hail mary with those subs.
Re: A Novel affair. Home to Mansfield Town Tues 3rd Dec. 1945
Harsh yellow on Evans that. Sloppy backpass. Hospital ball for Baxter that.
Schon coming off?
Yeah, Schon comes off for doing crap out of position. Maybe put him in his actual position for 10 minutes and see what he does first!

I’ve lost this one now
Two wing backs
Sheehan off for Lolos? Collins off

Tutu for JDC (stays as right-footed LWB)
Williams for Schon (left-footed RWB)
Lolos for Sheehan (change midfield triangle to Matete behind Lolos/McAtee)

I think it's probably down to the lack of midfield.
Their record is bad because they don't get enough clear cut chances because we're too busy trying to walk the ball in.

We’re going to equalise and the fact we won’t have lost will save Evatt from the sack.

That midfield is now even more open…it’s a gamble…
Re: A Novel affair. Home to Mansfield Town Tues 3rd Dec. 1945
Ffs Victor. Cross it you dick head.
Re: A Novel affair. Home to Mansfield Town Tues 3rd Dec. 1945
Fkin hell Vic. We all know you should've come off the pitch, but don't make yourself look like a downgrade on Brett Ormerod by staying on the pitch.
As for Tutu. Him missing that open net just goes to show it doesn't really matter if he's playing or not. Same outcome.

Gethin Jones typifying everything wrong with this team.
Arms out complaining to the ref instead of defending.

Lolos's attempted chest down then reminded me of the Franky Worthy line "his second touch is a sliding tackle"
Re: A Novel affair. Home to Mansfield Town Tues 3rd Dec. 1945
We know there’s ability there, as they’ve all shown it before either for us or other teams. So frustrating watching them dole out this shite.

Saw that red coming for Boateng but feel the ref got his first yellow wrong.

Judging by the weekend, we'll concede to the ten men

Mansfield down to 10 men, heaping even more pressure on our players and manager.
