I really think we can't afford to sack him.

Has to go now. Has to.
If he isn’t sacked there absolutely is some funny business between him Sharon and the board.

Merry Christmas Bolton fans.
Wouldn't surprise me if we ended up getting a battering by Wycombe in our next match.

Someone said earlier (Insanio?)that we had better players than Wigan yet we were being outplayed. Better players my foot?? Where?? Wigan players looked far superior to me today. All of them including Aimson who would walk into this team of ours Our defense is very weak. We give up goals every week. Johnson today was horrible. Wigan midfield dominated. Thomasson and Matete were not in their class. Our forwards .. Ade and Charles were useless. Better players??? Unless we are saying that Evatt has made them all poor.

Every single player and all the coaching staff and Markham have absolutely taken the piss out of this club. None of them not one is deserving of the opportunity to play for this great club. They are in my view the worst most appalling group we’ve ever had.
I truly hope I never have to endure any of them for a second longer than is necessary. Not a second longer. Evatt and the coaching staff and Markham if they aren’t all gone in the next hour then add Sharon to that list.

I don't think we'll be ripping up the data analysis department any time soon.

He's had 6 games against Wigan, 1 in the cup, 5 in the league.
A 0-0 LC (lost on pens)
H 0-4
A 1-1
H 0-4
A 0-1
H 0-2
1 goal in 6 games against Wigan with 12 against. Shocking record.

I think there is a non-zero chance he can take us up, but I don’t think he can ever dispel the doubts (and understandably so).
I don’t think the players are as bad as they sometimes make out.
I think we have a better chance if we twist rather than stick.
I think we should do that before January, to give the new man a better chance.

Ability isn’t the issue. Character is the problem. The manager is a coward who has recruited a team in his image.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 2:40 pmI think there is a non-zero chance he can take us up, but I don’t think he can ever dispel the doubts (and understandably so).

We need a man as a manager and a team of men who stand up when it matters.

This really does feel hopeless, doesn’t it? Seemingly stuck with this manager despite a slow slide towards mid table mediocrity.

We aren’t getting a new manager and an entire new XI. Not within four transfer windows.
We need a manager who can make these players (and maybe some, but not a dozen, others) play. This one doesn’t, not reliably enough.

Exactly where i'm at.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 2:40 pmI think we have a better chance if we twist rather than stick.
Too many games we've underperformed this season have helped remove any doubts. This isn't just another crap Wigan performance in isolation. It's a culmination of poor performances vs the likes of Cambridge, Wigan, Stockport, Birmingham, Huddersfield, Charlton. That's not even taking into consideration the poor performances over our first half of matches this season.

We need a genuinely experienced manager who has been there and done it and is proven in that case. First and foremost they have to understand character and how to insert it into a side.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 2:44 pmWe aren’t getting a new manager and an entire new XI. If we sacked him, you know there would be something that would linger on like he'll take us to arbitration for money owed or something to make it project Ian Evatt.
Not being able to beat this Wigan side is criminal. They're at the worst they've been for years.
It could and should've been 4-0 again.

Oh man, yeah. Sometimes for a change we start well and tail off, but here’s a question: When did we last play well in both halves? Seriously - last season? Last year? And we think we should be top two?
We have got enough results to be top eight, ish. But again it comes back to not reliably good enough, not good enough often enough. Trust rating back down to zero.

It would be useful if Iles and the local media showed some bottle and asked him that after all the time and money and being told to ‘trust the project’ we should judge that all on the game today and what would Evatt say about that?DJBlu wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 2:50 pmIf we sacked him, you know there would be something that would linger on like he'll take us to arbitration for money owed or something to make it project Ian Evatt.

Then ask him how come he’s had 4 years and the same thing happens time and time again. How can anyone with good faith stay in a job after that long and not be able to fix the problems?
Instead they will do nothing cos Evatt will pretend to cry to deflect the fact he’s a total fraud.

We will win games purely because we’ve spent way more than most of this league and have quality they don’t. The big games we consistently bottle and have done for a long time and nothing is changing there. So the season is a waste of time and every win is a curse because it covers up the fact we are only in this league because we have an egotistical non league failure in charge.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 2:51 pmOh man, yeah.
