Re: General Chit Chat
That was part of my point, mate. Without doing the "God" bit, there's a serious conversation with a lot of nuances, whichever side of that conversation you support.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 9:53 amTo be honest (that old chestnut) I was merely pointing out the irony of "Thou shalt not kill" and Mrs Trump and co disagreeing. The rest is how you choose to see it.

I don't think people like Donald Trump give a shiny shite about God... But God sure is a useful tool to use to enforce your views on a population

Re: General Chit Chat
I doubt it B.B. You either believe or you don't and politics won't affect that, or the reverse. Political mind changing can happen for many reasons but few will be affected in the least by religion or Mrs Trump. I think in a roundabout way that was more or less my original point.boltonboris wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 9:37 amI don't think people like Donald Trump give a shiny shite about God... The dangers of social media don't need pointing out here, mate, we've been reading your posts for getting on 20 years!
(thought I needed to have a dig, given the Hobes/Insano "get a room" moment in the other thread...

Do I seee the Four Horsemen of the Apocalipse in the waves here, or is it just imagination running riot?

My computer is knackered so I'm changing it tomorrow. Hoping I won't have to do a Houdini act in which case I may have to re-join The Totters forum. Fingers crossed..

Had a pretty decent run up until now. But finally been caught by the missus uncommunicated "Plan in her head at Christmas."
I saunter down scratching my balls only to find shoes and coat all ready. How did everyone else fair? Still going or already sunk?

Absolutely livid. Its resulting in quite a bit of food waste and lost sales. It is going to cost them quite a lot of money in lost business as I'll be dropping them now. Will be winding down with a bottle of something red tonightWorthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 12:54 pmThat not good, mate.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 12:00 pmMain supplier has fecked me over and I'm in the midst of hell. Rang in the new year by watching the cars floating around in the morning and waiting to be rescued by the fire service. I was one of the lucky ones though clearly

Two days of clearing out, a mates sofa, pleas for help with tip/post office visits and a travelodge Im now at my parents before I move to London, hopefully on Sunday. After two days of camaraderie I am now, frankly, exhausted.

We've had few rough pubs in Bolton in my lifetime: The Rocket was just one, The Flying Shuttle in Farnworth, once named the most lawless pub in England, The Griffin and Wood Street Club in town amongst others. When the local police chief was asked why he didn't close them down, he said it was because they always knew where to find the villains.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 10:07 pmDon’t frequent this area as I used to so may have missed this - but the website got mention here:

I'm from highfield and over Christmas was talking to my dad, apparently my grandad worked behind the bar at the shuttle for a time.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 11:14 pmWe've had few rough pubs in Bolton in my lifetime: The Rocket was just one, The Flying Shuttle in Farnworth, once named the most lawless pub in England, The Griffin and Wood Street Club in town amongst others. Affectionately changed to The lying Sl*t due to some imaginative sign graffiti

Just seen this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwGWw7PLT10
Ironic, it ain't in it. One might say hypocritical if one dare: King Charles and Queen Camilla, our English royalty,(who have upheld the rule that no Catholic will ever be Monarch since Henry the Eighth ) Having pizza with Pope Francis at The Vatican. Is Charles thinking of buying a Lamborgini ?

Fcuking dogs in pubs. Preferably under the chair rather than across every bastard aisle with 3 foot of lead.
