And yet, for all the hair-pulling-out bollocks of it all...we should have had at least a point. Utterly dreadful, away at a top 10 team...took missing from 5 yards to give them the win.

Morley wins the game for Wycombe, by the way.

What's to say really except we lost. Total possession, what use is it against one scrappy goal? In short, none. ae:)

Wouldn't matter way we play if we had the Spanish national side playing for us. We'd still probably lose.

Sick of it. That second half, man. Jesus Christ.

Johnston, Santos, Jones, Dacres-Cogley, Charles. All absolutely pathetic.

I'm in the minority in that I think the wing-back pairing we finished with is probably the best combination of wing-backs we have available and could work, irrespective of today.

But in the broader sense there's really nothing to add anymore. We know all we need to know about Evatt and his team, and have known it for a long time.

Flat track bullies.

You are right, as Evatt will likely play him in a way that hampers him.

Thommo is a 6/8 with a goal threat, so Ian's turning him into a left-channel mezzala where everything good about him is hampered.

Morley is good at cracking teams open with raking passes from deep, so no doubt he'll be asked to play as a #10 or something.

Yep. Nobody prepared to break from the back to create the overload and the passing accuracy from the back line is suicidal. Only positive was Southwood’s distribution was far superior to Baxter’s—not that it mattered.

But both are likely to miss a lot of football.

Regardless, Evatt hasn't got a clue why it's going wrong. That much has been clear for a bit. He told us and Sharon should have listened.

That's the difference.

Santos made mistakes today and he lost a duel for one of their goals. Fair to criticise that. When there's criticism regardless of how he actually played that game, it's a problem.

I can’t believe the board can sit and watch us, and decide that the way forward is just to back him with more money.

Well we do clearly need investment in the team. It’s just baffling they’re letting this charlatan spend it

Really ?!?! FFS. Please grow up and stop being so ridiculous....

I have no issues with any player being criticised for performances etc. What I do take issue with is personal character assassinations and constant, relentless negativity singling individuals out - often with no or little basis.

For what it's worth, Santos wasn't at his best today by any stretch. However, he was far from alone.....

He was the best of the back three. Which is both terrifying and probably some explanation of how he played. He was essentially on his own against a lot of their movement at times there.

Another manager tweaks things at half time and we get a result. Forrester and Tutu coming in and settling that right side was blindingly obvious, but Evatt was never going to do that; because he hadn't written than down in his "Big Book of Plans" 2 weeks ago.

Ian knew how to win the game and the players once again failed to deliver. Poor Ian.

There isn’t anything good about Bolton wanderers sadly. A reprehensible owner who has put a manager she has some sort of weird relationship with over the good of the club, the town and its fans.

The most abhorrent manager we’ve ever had performing exactly as everyone who has watched football for more than 5 minutes knew he would.

A group of players who let’s face it are an embarrassment compared to teams of old - simply because they lack the fortitude and character needed.

I can’t find any reason to pay money to watch. I caught the last 20 minutes today on Sky and found it some of the most pedestrian and boring football even by this seasons standards. The complete and total lack of urgency to do anything of use was beyond in my view anything I’ve seen. We are losing to Mansfield and playing with no heart or passion.

Now look I’m as prepared as anyone to see the players get a chance under a new manager and maybe there will be some redemption arcs. But I doubt many will survive.

This is the 80’s all over again but less fun and more likely we don’t have a club to follow. It’s also far harder to summon any enthusiasm up for it - I don’t know what Brittan or her board are about but by god they aren’t half making an unholy mess of this club.

This is a very very poor league one too. I bet we make the play offs because it would be virtually impossible to not. And I bet we lose in them again. And Evatt will spin his stats again over the summer because his reputation is now in the absolute mud.

Well we lost. A gambling man would have placed his money on us losing this game. We leak goals, (check), playing a team challenging higher up the league table (check), playing a team coached by a better manager (check), playing away from home (check).

How long wilk Sharon sit and watch us underperform and continue to give Evatt spending money? We may look like a better team than Mansfield to some, but it didn't look that way to me. The usual huff and puff, but as the game went on, it was more likely to be 3-1 than 2-2. How many shots on target did we have in the 2nd half, a half we had to win to get a point. Better sides in the league see us as soft.
