Yeah, while it’d be welcome it wouldn’t be a “needle-mover” to beat a team currently in the bottom halfBWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 3:29 pmSurely we will today? They can’t really get near us. It doesn’t change a thing in terms of my view that we have built a team to beat the weaker sides, flat track bullies if you like but we are far superior to Exeter.

Personally, I’ve been critical of Morley in terms of mobility and defensive work but I think he’s the best ‘number 6’ we have in the squad. I’d like to see him with Matete as I think we are looking a better midfield with him in there than we have at any other point this season. It’s a shame Thomo has no form to speak of and Lolos I think is a bit lost in this role. I think he’s a Vela type number 10 and only that.

What is Lolos for. Decent touch but nothing else. Has to give so so much more.

Clever by McAtee there. Good stuff. Good save keeper......

Nice to see he's actually having a wild swing at a half chance to work the keeper. Makes a nice change.

Not sure how they missed that header. Should’ve scored.

Great ball by Morley, Williams hits the first man. Shockethed to the core.

He'd have to try off the ball, and not hide on it to get into a Sam team, so I doubt it.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 3:42 pmIn a Big Sam side Lolos could be double figures easily every season. But I think we are asking him to do things he’s probably not quite up to doing. He’s not a number 8 for me.
Let's be generous and say it's confidence...

A lot of these players would prosper under a manager able to simplify their game and roles I think. Just trying to get players to do more than they are comfortable with and it leads to split second confusion and doubt.Prufrock wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 3:45 pmHe'd have to try off the ball, and not hide on it to get into a Sam team, so I doubt it.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 3:42 pmIn a Big Sam side Lolos could be double figures easily every season. Decent first 15 minutes, poor for the remainder against a poor team.

Looked alright without looking promotion-level. Let's see if the medics packed the half-time mogadon

Almost like we're playing to the game plan. Go at them for the first 15 mins, then make sure we don't tire ourselves out for the second half.
Pretty much training exercise after the first 15 mins. The level of pressing dropped off massively.
We've been threatening, but so, so poor in the final third. Free kicks and corners absolutely wasted by simple passes being overhit or corners kicked over the net. These are threatening positions that could be game changers, but they're just woefully bad. Randell's had some decent moments in terms of mobility but his passing has been on a par with JDC for the most part (exception being the pass through to Collins for a chance early on).
Still he's been better than JDC's last match, but once again we get into a decent position and just don't take the due care and effort required.

Dion must be licking his lips looking at the donkeys they've got at centre half.
We've been ok but wasteful again. And obviously we've got a mistake in us. 0-1.

Aside from Collins, Schon has been our best player for weeks now. My bad when he inevitably gets sent off now.
