Grecians, but bearing no gifts. Away to Exeter, Sat, 4th Jan. 3'0 clock

Wycombe concede late. If they come back with the cash for Morley what does Evatt do…

Blackpool score a 93rd minute equaliser at 10 man Wycombe.

Has this ref got a tenner on 2-2? 98 minutes now. Scratch that, Ian Evatt slithers through to another fluke of a win.

I bet he only put Aaron in because he would've felt the wrath.

We won and I didn't have to watch Cogley. In the scheme of this season it's one of the better days.

Metete in for Thommo next game and push Aaron further up the field.

He's on fire. Don't put it out.

So, back-tracking a moment just to lend context to some of my earlier remarks...

Still feels like a "in spite of" rather than "because of"!
Yep. They still need the review starting Monday. :-)

3 points, but still worryingly poor and little urgency in our play until the 85th minute.

We take Wigan's defensive coach, at which point their defense becomes one of the tightest in the league and ours then becomes significantly worse. Make it make sense......

Matete is twice the player Thomason is.

Doing just enough for Evatt to keep his job.

Doesn't feel like a tactical master stroke from Evatt, feels fortunate rather than a competent win. That being said we didn't look like we warranted being a goal down.

We're keeping our heads afloat.

Score the Collins goal in the first half, different story.

Two goals going more direct instead of Evatt's turgid, tippy tappy shite, slow sideways & backwards crab football. We look much more of a threat when the players are actually allowed to play football.

Will he learn (Evatt) ?, will he feck.

Think I've progressed past delight at a comeback win.

I am certain Morley would have been driven out of Bolton by Evatt to Wycombe if that never went in. Hitting it high from wide in midfield? Thats not my system!!!

I think we all have.
Vaguely intrigued if he claims that as something we deserved or worked for, rather than two massive flukes having conceded a daft one to a defensive mix up. Of course our equaliser cancelled that out I get it. On another day we lose I guess.

Morley's never a 10; when we've played him at 8 he's not moved enough; and at Wycombe he excelled as a 6.

Anyways - week until next game, we might have Joel Randall here and Josh Sheehan back by then.

It’s not delight but results matter. The thing is results only matter if they are consistent and lead to promotion. I’d say today shows that passing it sideways isn’t helping us but getting the ball forwards more quickly and putting it in the box gives you a chance.

Evatt could help himself by accepting his style and system haven’t worked and forging us into a more direct, physical side because we have the quality up top to score goals with decent delivery.

But I fear that we revert to the way we play and once we hit a decent side it continues to unravel.

We knew that when we did blood n guts v Reading, then we progressively reintroduce complexity.

I can't pretend I wasn't delighted when we equalised, and indeed scored the winner, but I must be honest that the strongest emotion was hilarity on both occasions.

As noted, wins against Your Exeters matter very little to a team supposed to be chasing promotion - winning is supposed to be the norm, not the exception. That's our first away win since October, which isn't good enough, but on we roll to Rotherham. Just. Keep. Winning.

That was the yellow for Schon? Must've been on the toilet. Can't be letting players not tackle.
