High Noon Cover up. V Rotherham away Sat 11th Jan 12-30.
Please note the 12-30 kick off time. The rest of the headline means The Millers have brought in pitch cover specialists in an attempt not to let the snowflakes interfere with the battle of the roses, although snowdrops are more likely than roses, which is a further confusion as Rotherham (Yorks) strip is red and ours (Lancs)white. But hey-ho-, time of day and shirts immaterial, we need the win to keep up our challenge for promotion play-off spots. A battle is guaranteed.
The rest I'll leave to our "in the know" technos and settle for a COME ON YOU WHITES...

Anyone taking bets on which of their lads breaks Randall's ankle?

Did I read they didn't install under pitch heating coz it cost 43k a game? Might be a surprise if anyone gets to kick anyone else! That said if he's as tricky as the headlines, I'd probably suggest giving him a whack, too. Probably early, to see if the ref is still at "not got going yet."

Rotherham having to send out another round of tickets. Huddersfield sold out.
Seems fan enthusiasm is doing okay, for now.

I presume this one will come too soon for Randall to start, but he’ll probably make the bench.

Charles Collins
Tutu to start in place of Williams if he’s fit enough.

Is that your guess or your preference, Gun? Personally I think Randel... WILLIAMS is doing enough to keep the starting spot, especially for a tough away game, and Tutu can come on as sub on either side.
Would be interesting to drop the captain but we'll see - he's young enough for it to be branded as developmental, and nobody should be above rotation.
Re: High Noon Cover up. V Rotherham away Sat 11th Jan 12-30.
That would be my personal preference, DSB. I think our captain is likely to retain his place, but he’s been playing shite, so deserves to be dropped.

That can't be right. According to some (who present it as cold hard facts) the "majority" of our fans have had enough and will be boycotting games. Just like the 15000 that were there on boxing day, and all those who went to Exeter.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 5:02 pmRotherham having to send out another round of tickets. Not at all, they're not watching the game, they're only there to say to the dude next to them "Told ya. What did I tell ya? Just this I tell you." The game itself is deemed boycotted!dave the minion wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:35 pmThat can't be right. New ground this for me, went to the old one a few times. Huddersfield's the same but I see I've missed out on tickets for that one already. Our support is truly phenomenal.
What a shocking record we have at Rotherham. A quick look back at more recent games and I recall a drubbing on boxing day, a draw with our goalscorer being recalled days later because we'd 'forgot' to pay for him, a group of has beens and never will bes, taking an early lead before shipping 6 and a patched up walking wounded squad almost getting a point on new years day.
They're the poster boys for this seasons under performers. Perhaps they've just been waiting for Wanderers to pitch up to kick start their season?
1-1 draw.

The forecast is saying -7C overnight in Rotherham. If that’s accurate, and it’s also correct that these chaps don’t have undersoil heating, then surely there’s not much chance of this happening?

Rotherham staff are confident the game will be on.
Police and the council have said there's no issue on their side.
The pitch is undergoing some kind of heat treatment.
Hopefully it's not a wasted drive, but I'm expecting to watch a game of footy.

The forecast has actually improved slightly, so hopefully if a few of those Yorkshire types stay up all night with their hairdryers we’ll be alright.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 12:21 pmRotherham staff are confident the game will be on.

I was about to say, they didn't need hairdryers. Two Yorkshiremen walking up and down the pitch for a couple of hours can generate shit-loads of hot air. There's the pic to prove it!

I'm probably about to show my aris, but I'm going for a very convincing 4-1 win and Evans to get sacked on Sunday morning
I didn't fancy driving over the tops, so I'll be watching from in front of my log burner with tea and a pie. COYWM.
