When you have a country, where the leader is in control of the judicial system, that's a dictatorship. Welcome to America.
Pity we have a legal system that our elected parliament makes the laws for which is then muddled with by various interpretations by individual judges. Next chuck in laws made by elected representatives being over ruled by non-elected bodies from overseas, legal aid available to non- citizens, and lawyers who are so dodgy in pursuit of cash normal people avoid them like the plague.
What could possibly go wrong?

Welcome to the UK.

Our legal system has plenty of holes. On balance I'll stick, rather than go for the 51st State model.

Easy to get carried away. I mean, we’ve all done a zeig heil on our first day at work haven’t we?

Haven’t we?

I wonder how all the ‘tech bros’ on the west coast of the US are feeling today?

Karma is fast these days.

I doubt they're weeping at their last few cents exiting stage left, just yet - too early....so I don't think this is karma or even fairly close to karma. NVidia is up 94% over the last 12 months, despite a huge chunk going missing the last couple of trading days.

True but in their world this is as close to disaster as you get. They don’t have benevolent investors. If lines don’t go up as sharply as they want they have problems….let alone if the line starts to not go up at all…..

UK's long-term government borrowing costs hit their highest level since 1998.

Looks like Rachel from accounts is bang on target for Stammer, sorry Starmers largest growth of the G7.
They are now lower than at any other stage this year. Does that mean the Chancellor is ‘doing well’?

The Prime Minister’s summer of globetrotting cost taxpayers almost £700,000, it was revealed yesterday.
Keir Starmer went on nine jaunts during his first three months in office, spending an estimated 62 hours in the air.
Transparency data published by the Cabinet Office shows the total price tag for the trips was £697,198, putting the cost per hour at more than £11,000.
Official costs have not yet been published of his further travels during the autumn which led to him being dubbed ‘Never Here Keir’, despite increasing taxes on air fares.

Wrong? What's wrong?
Even Starmers chief of staff has said he's an HR manager at best, and a poor one at that.

Clearly, you hardly expect HR to be flying around the world whilst you foot the bill, do you?

Still debating politics then. Politics. What does it actually mean?

Historically, it's all just the past repeating itself ad infinitum. When in doubt, invent another tax while pretending you know the answer to it all. . . The real answer is the simplest: Be the first country in the world to have the courage to ban all weapons of war from a hand-grenade to a nuclear missile, but that's classed as fairy tales.

Oh, I know, Guy Fawkes might have got away with his answer to Parliament, but he was a Catholic...

Depends if there is a global element to HRs job. It might be reasonable to expect the head honcho in government to meet foreign counterparts and attend international meetings and events. At least he hasn't popped over to Murica to hold hands with Trump.

Whatever Starmer was, is irrelevant. He's our current Prime Minister. Anyone recall seeing Rishi much as PM - I mean Fred from Finance - I don't recall him being ever present.

HR in global businesses generally fly around the world, of course when your horizons don't pass your front gate, you might not know this.

Oh, so that's two more of you on Starmers 1984 route whilst holding a meeting of the pigs on the farm :D
