That sounds fair. We just need a forward with pace and a holding midfielder in that case. I wouldn't be surprised to see Williams, Jones and Santos all leave next week, if the new guy can also bring in another, experienced CB.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Williams not being included in JD's matchday squad might be indicative.

All the fit players travelled yesterday, even if they weren't in the squad that day. Williams wasn't there and isn't injured.

I think Gethin is here until he moves to Oz in the summer.

I've said a few times I'd have looked to move him on this window if possible, but if he wants to show up like he did at Huddersfield he's very welcome to stay until the summer. Put his body on the line at times. Still made mistakes, but showed his heart.

He took a really nasty landing when he went up for a header when were defending the lead. He hit the deck and lay face down, clearly having had the wind knocked out of him...he shouted something at himself and forced himself back up and sprinted into line.

Hurt. Got up. Cracked on.

Thommo was out of breath on the coach, never mind after the game. Vic was still sweating. Randall pressed and pressed.

Loved the lot of them yesterday.

Feels like a new manager announcement sort of day.

I'd expect Darby to be in the dugout for the Northampton game, but if the board have been pondering Evatt going for a while then surely they'd've been pondering his replacement for a while too.

Not necessarily if the Bolton News are to be believed. I suspect that right now they’ve kept everything under wraps so nobody really knows what is happening either way.

Yes, not necessarily, but looking at the clock on the window, wouldn't be a bad 'un. Maybe we're through our incoming window business or maybe recruitment are still trying to push some through, who knows...

Not often we've changed manager at this time of year - we're more usually a summer-or-autumn kinda club.

Only one that leaps immediately to mind is turfing McFarland and keeping Todd, if you count that as managerial change. Certainly the players seemed to - we went from disastrous relegation form to midtable form thereafter, but sadly the damage had been done. I dare say this campaign might prove similarly irretrievable if it were just three automatic spaces and no playoffs, but let's see...

EDIT Coyle replaced Megson in January, that had slipped my mind (I had it pegged as earlier in the season) - again, worked well that season at least :D

McGovern was turfed in January, Charlie Wright started well (but ended badly, as managers so often do...)

Ian Greaves was sacked in January, that worked out less well...

Didn’t we pot Megson in January?

Coyle and Freedman both went during the season can’t remember exactly when but I think both were around this sort of time roughly weren’t they?

Yeah, I addendum'd.

Megson sacked 30 Dec, Coyle hired 8 Jan.

Freedman went from Oct 2012 - Oct 2014 - I remember watching his last game, at an autumnal Fulham, with Pru.

Funny how the memory works!

Very quiet on manager front today. Was expecting a flurry of excited rumours about weird and wacky candidates.

Betting market back up with Schumacher clear favourite.

As said a few days ago, I wouldn't expect much movement until the tail end of this week.

Yeah that’s the talk. Lot of people seemingly jumped the gun.

Anyway Robbie Fowler is on the scene now so I think it’s his to lose….

Betting odds are pretty meaningless however it is odd that Rob Page has suddenly entered the market at 4/1 from absolutely nowhere. Surely not….

I’m all for exploring options but to me it’s pretty clear. Schumacher is the best candidate and certainly better than the weird fringe options like Rob Page.

It's possible he might be one of the interviewees and had his interview today.

If a few people are aware and had a flutter, it'd explain the sudden shortening of his odds.

Maybe. Be an odd one to interview though wouldn’t it. I can see some others - but Page? What would qualify him for it?

He managed Wales.

For a League One club that would usually make someone a bit of a coup.

Stuart Kettlewell, generally seen as one of the most talented managers the SPL has seen for a while, just resigned citing fan abuse.

He looks like the sort we might seek to interview, if we've not made up our mind yet.

Uhhhhh….no. Sorry but that makes no sense. Ryan Giggs managed Wales. Would he be a coup?

Page has a lower league domestic record. Which is much more relevant. Interviewing him would be odd unless we are just being polite. Or and I say in all seriousness don’t know what we are doing. And if Markham’s player recruitment is a guide….

Page has a good reputation in the game s a coach and recently managed internationally. If he applied for the job almost any League One club would interview him.

If Ryan Giggs' personal life wasn't what it is then he'd probably be seen as a coup for a League One side, yes.
