Wycombe equaliser means we're now 12pts off them but only out of the playoffs on GD. Orient in the playoffs for what might be the first time?Mar wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 8:53 pmDepends where you set your sights. Barnsley beating Wycombe isn't helping...
Given how the teams in the league are massively inconsistent, it'll be there for whoever is the most consistent. Can't see it being us, but dare to dream an all that.

We certainly seem to be missing a big target man up top. Collins running onto the ball is showing a fair bit of fight, but nothing that's really threatening. Could do with a foil to bring others into play.

They seemed to have a really good run last season as well around this time of year. Might be the year they actually contend for the playoffs.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 9:09 pmWycombe equaliser means we're now 12pts off them but only out of the playoffs on GD. We’ve been absolutely shite this half.

No not at all but its still fecking shite.Mar wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 9:07 pmWould you rather go to Evatt's style at this moment in time? Hold the ball, sideways and backwards while we're ahead?Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 9:05 pmSome of our passing is shocking, its fecking amateur. They look the better team when in possession.
2nd half is shite so far.
Passing percentages would improve

I never thought I'd ever say this but I think JDC needs to come on for Tutu.
Re: Giving Cobblers the boot? Home to Northampton Tues, 28th Jan 19-45
We’re playing it forward way too quickly.
Re: Giving Cobblers the boot? Home to Northampton Tues, 28th Jan 19-45
JDC got the assist last match and put in a good performance, certainly warrants the nod over Tutu in this game.
This half press up top isn't helping. Collins could do with getting swapped with McAtee.

Bit Parkyesque at the moment - letting them have it, standng firm, seeing what they can do
It's certainly not overly obsessed with possession, and it ain't sideways and backwards cos we aint got the ball...

Yep it's weird but I would consider bringing on
• McAtee (so that would be for Collins)
• JDC (so JOT)
• Lolos (so... Morley?)
obvz if that fails it's a terrible trio of subs but you get what I mean
Re: Giving Cobblers the boot? Home to Northampton Tues, 28th Jan 19-45
We're not looking a better team with Randall on the pitch. Tough start for him given our change in the style of play, management, etc. Gonna take a while that I reckon.

I do wonder if this lot think that they won this game on Saturday too.

I suppose it’s not surprising, but this is very bad.

Man, what I'd do for a bit of possession right now
Re: Giving Cobblers the boot? Home to Northampton Tues, 28th Jan 19-45
I suspect there's a tad bit of nervous energy that's around the ground. Frustration in terms of it being different than the away match. Think the players just need to settle down and relax a touch. We scored too early in the game for it to really build, feels like we got the whole crowd getting a touch carried away.

Cogs on, Tutu off.
I do like Tutu's ability to drive forward and beat his opposing number but f*cking hell the rest of his game leaves a lot to be desired.
