Yon six-foot defensive midfielder I mentioned at Hull? Looks like he's going somewhere in our division. No indication it's us, but people are on the move.

FLW reporting that Wiggin's attempt to sign Wiredu from Fleetwood has fallen through due to "issues" arising from his medical. Probably on his way to us then.

Randell to Leyton
Well, it's not a transfer window if we don't give a rival a player.

I’d make it odds on that we bring at least one more player in now. Can’t see Schumacher leaving a squad space free if he can help it.

Williams has had a video training at Ashton?

What the feck has gone on there? There's telling players they have no place at the club but a complete shut out?

Dare I say there may have been things said that can't be unsaid?

Inconsistent to say the least so as long as he doesn't have one of his good games against us then who cares.

Dion isn't exactly setting the world in fire.

Liked Williams, but for every good game he had 3 bad ones and a month on the sidelines. Hopefully we'll replace with someone more consistent and available.

It’s a weird one. When he was told about the video, Evatt seems to have been genuinely surprised. Evatt could be a good actor but he also did have a reasonable track record of not forcing people out, even if he wasn't going to use them - Comley and John spring to mind.

Add the fact that Evatt's now gone and Randell's still leaving, and it feels like this antagonism comes more from the player than he manager(s). I speculated (and it's only speculation) before that maybe he or his agent asked for a contract extension, was told negotiations were on hold until the summer, and it all went south from there. Literally, if he goes to Orient.

I liked Randell, he seemed willing as well as able, and he happily played wingback (on either side) despite being a natural winger. He also had some of the best recovery speed I've seen recently in a Bolton shirt - a refreshing change from say Declan John. But, being a winger, he was very erratic - and when he was poor he was awful. The aim is always to improve, so let's see who's next - although I suspect his place won't be taken by a like-for-like.

He's a London lad isn't he? Could be player power trying to force an early move. An odd one though.

Oh well, he was fine but AT summed him up perfectly. We'll live (cut to him scoring a Wembley winner come May).

My only concern about losing Williams is he was one of our only fast players. Tutu the only remaining squad member who I’d describe as genuinely quick.

I don’t know why we’d let Williams go unless we have someone to bring in unless there has been a complete break down. Especially to someone else competing for the play offs. Hopefully at bare minimum Orient are picking up his full wage.

I imagine it's a perm move not a loan

Yeah permanent move for a nominal fee is what’s reported.

Yep but I’d still hope we aren’t having to subsidise his wages or pay him off.

The fact Randell has made sure this has gone public is a bit weird. As is, as DSB said, the fact that the manager has gone has had no impact on the situation.

Might be worth asking the lads at Ashton, if he's been training there. I'm sure a few on here will know one or two. If not the gossip usually filters over to CMB.

Bored mind-wander: Couple of dominoes would need to fall but how about taking Conor Washington off Derby?

Paul Warne, asked whether Washington would still be at the club after deadline day: "Possibly not. You have to shuffle the pack and Conor wants to play more than he obviously is. There will be a few players leaving. He could be one of them. If not, then that's also fine. I am not one to drive them out of the training ground and throw their boots at them. It's about the opportunity and whether it is better than what he currently has."

The Rams are said to be borrowing West Brom striker Karlan Grant, if the Baggies can get somebody in (and they've now been linked with a £3m Randers forward). Washington is out of contract in summer (when he turns 33) and hasn't kicked a ball for Derby this season, although he has been fit.

How many games has Washington played since he had major surgery on his ankle?

None at senior level but he's been on the bench a few times (sporadically rather than all at once) and has played in the stiffs.

I'm just bored, Ghost. There's hours of this stuff left yet. Glad I'm playing a game myself tonight, just to stop refreshing the page.

Oh, look at Mr "I have functional knee ligaments" :D

Seriously, it wasn't a snarky question. I'd not seen his name crop up for a while and I genuinely didn't know how many games he'd played since he went pop.
