That'll do. Two wins under Schuey totalling 12 goals....
For and against? Bit lost...

Is this where someone says that Evatt would've lost this?
TBF, there were signs...

I dunno, I'm always pretty happy with three points, but had that been Evatt, there would've rightly been grumbles about the first 45. Sure it's right, Schuey gets time, but no point pretending first 45 was better than it was...

Good subs and reading the game second half which had been sadly lacking. Almost like a plan B.

Yeah, for and against mate. Probably indicating just how different we are from Evatts tenure.

I only watched from like 58 minutes, but we were pretty good from then on. Not perfect by any means, but we’re definitely doing some good stuff that we weren’t doing under Evatt.

It’s reasonable to assume that it’s going to take Schuey a while to get us playing exactly as he wants, but we’re in a decent position in the league and still have runway to make the playoffs. If we do end up in the top 6, well, I’d expect we’ll be a better team than we are now.

I suddenly feel that there is a brain working throughout the game. Schuey seems to be constantly working out a way how to win a football game based on whats happening on the field. Not used to this.

First half we were playing wih 10 men. Randall was completely missing. As Shrewsbury tired after 30 mins of furious pace, we took control. Some glorious goals especially the last one by MaCtee started by Matete who I thought was MoTM for his tireless fighting work in midfield. Toals goal was also great...and that pass for the 2nd...wow.

The team is getting better and better and will be ready for the bigger tests ahead against the teams above us. I do hope Schuey can help Randall settle. He must be a better player than what I am seeing.

The first half was absolutely awful - and that doesn’t even describe how bad it was. But Schuey isn’t at fault imho. He’s trying to find a way with a group that aren’t his players. And I think knows he has to use the bench to find different options.

It's very clever tactically what SS is doing with Morley in the 2nd half of games. He now needs to come up with the right personnel to make us much tighter at the back, I have to say though I'm not convinced with Southwood in goal.

Hopefully these goals get McAtee confidence up and drive him on.

All's well that ends well, taming of the Shrews.

First half hour was really poor, didn't do the basics, didn't fight. Much better after that and deserved to win for me.

McAtee, Toal both excellent. Some other good bits in there too. Nice to be able to switch between the formations.

Randall offering nothing so far, needs to improve.

I also think that a few of these players now need a run of games instead of the chopping & changing i.e. Matete & McAtee.

Toal played well against today, as did Forrester....well 2nd half at least.

McAtee was appalling first half, yet gets two goals……..and Charles was subbed off early for Huddersfield. Selling him is looking more and more like an astute piece of business!

Is Randall not simply a forward in a 3? Playing off one of the sides? I just don’t see him as a number ten or a midfield player. He’s the most lightweight non tackler going. I think number 10 is a very hard position to recruit for and the role requires a lot more than technical ability. Our best number 10 might be Matete.

SS's post match comments 'for the first half hour of the game, I can't gloss it we were rubbish'. I know its early days but how refreshing is he, he's certainly a likeable character hopefully it rubs off on the players it certainly looks like the supporters have taken to him.

No guarantees it works here but he’s a proper manager. You can just tell. Great personality, at ease with himself. Working things out.

Look on the bright side, you've just moved Sheehan up one in the midfield generals dept. It might just be me, but I do think he's tried to push Sheehan into more advanced positions, which is actually where I think he hurts teams better...

I think that Sheehan being allowed to cover ground and as you say play higher up the pitch has rejuvenated him. Morley seems like he’s going to be the 6 dropping into the back 3/4 too and then emerging. Matete looks like he will be given a role further forwards.

To be honest I'm fine with the first half being shite, as long as he did something to change it. He did, it worked a treat, and we all go home happy. Isn't that what we've asking for the last 12 months?

I'm sure that I've read a recent comment by SS that at Plymouth he played Matete further forward.

Schumacher told McAtee, Collins and Randall they’d been poor at half time and that two would be taken off during the second half. The old mind games seem to have worked on McAtee.

I like stuff like this. Very Bruce Rioch that. Go earn your shirt.
