Yes, I know, it's six days yet, but that's a long time in winter football, so any talk of the next game is surely better then none? This league now seems all about attacking football I reckon we can expect the same from a rejuvenated Leyton. Conserving energy seems secondary to all-out seize by most teams now (was it only Ian Evatt that preached it?) and Richie Wellens is hardly lkely to be an advocate of caution after a long trip from Londinium. He won't want to go home with nothing and Orient are level with us on points, but ahead on goal difference.

So, any match relevant chat will be welcome to keep it lively as we wait to see Mr Schu's plan of action. McAtee heeded his half-time warning but Collins and Randall need to take note. Let's stop playing catch up in favour of catch us.

Go forth at leisure.. :box:

Undoubtedly a big game and a chance to show our true mettle.
One advantage we have is that the new management will have the opportunity to work a full week with the squad , and with the match being at home their is no travel involved.
I'm expecting a win to keep us on track, this is potentially our easiest match of the next three, although they will all be tough tests. Orient are fairly free scoring so I'm looking at 2-1.
People haven't got a good word for you, but i have T**T.

Schuey said post-match that he was looking forward to this, that he and his staff have seen some things they can improve on, particularly in defence.

We've got two free midweeks, then Birmingham; then three more on the bounce, then Wigan, then two more, then Easter. The Rotherham home game, which falls on an international weekend, may have to be put somewhere - but these free midweeks will give us a much better idea of what the new coaching staff might do. (And the two midweek opponents might also tell us a lot... how far off the Birmingham benchmark are we? Can we actually beat Wigan for once?)

The pressure is on, we have to keep winning week after week there are no "a point is a good result" games left for me not even Birmingham. That's just the situation we're in, if we want to achieve anything this season. Orient playing mid-week is a massive bonus and one we should take full advantage of.

Speaking of mid week, I can turn the couch round to face North Wales if anyone is interested in watching Wrexham vs Orient.

Scroll to the top of the page and you'll see a button that says "The Couch."

The Bs play this afternoon, and Schumacher has already said Forino will get some minutes. I wonder if anyone else might. Lolos was out of the 18 at Shrewsbury, so he's played less than 90 minutes in the last five games.

Side fact: Sheehan has been booked in the last 3 games (ie 3 of Schumacher's 4), plus Darby's second game against Northampton. Indeed, looking deeper, he didn't get yellows in any of his first 14 games this season, then 8 in the last 13 - Karl Henry levels. Don't worry too much - only 7 of them were in the league, and the suspension trigger is 10 yellows by the 32nd game, ie Saturday... but the next trigger, 15 by the 38th, might be possible if he carries on at recent rates...

Just Forino, plus Coleman and Matheson if they even count any more.

Tutte on the bench as well. Would've thought he would've been in a coach only role by now.

As long as their legs still work, clubs often encourage coaches to be an experienced head out on the pitch with the kids; they see it as practical rather than theoretical coaching ("here's what you do here, lads"). Tom Huddlestone, Paul McShane, Bradley Johnson, Andrew Crofts and even our own Jay Spearing have done similar roles.

Anyway, Forino went off at half-time – we can assume as part of the plan.

I misread Toole as Toal and wondered what he was doing starting.

Mate, can you ask someone at the club to sort out the website profiles of our B/youth players? There’s zero info on any of them, and it doesn’t exactly seem like it would take much effort to update.

or any info at all on the games they’ve played this season. I idly wondered whether Abimbola had played many for the Bs, but I ain’t finding out easily via our website.

Almost like they need to hire an award-winning football website editor…

Baxter fined £2,000, no immediate ban, one-match ban suspended until the end of next season.
