Let them fine us. I want a team of skill and absolute warriors just like the when we left Burnden. McGinly, Fairclough, Sheridan, big Gerry Taggart and the rest. No one messed with us. Wolves tried it and we sent them home as poodles.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:04 pmYeah, was barely handbags. Let it run. Nothing gets the team playing and fighting for each other better than a good Royal Rumble. Forino was ready to start windmilling and Southeood charged In as well. That's team spirit right thereMore of that. Hopefully teams will now see is as dark horses and a team to be feared. How much difference did CMG make?

Schumacher's found their collective bollocks.
I'm hoarse, knackered but so so proud of my team tonight.

Played well for the full 90. Played unbelievably well second half. Completely smothered them. The press was a joy to watch. They couldn’t get out at all.
Don’t agree with criticism for the first half. We were very good we just made one error and they scored. But you can’t expect us to press for 90 minutes so we have to pick and choose when to and when to sit off against a good side like them. We matched them throughout.
Really hard to pick a man of the match as about 5 players deserve it. Cogley, McAtee, Collins, Tutu, Forino - dunno any of them.

They've all been told they have a part to play and when it comes they have to take it.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:45 pmSchumacher's found their collective bollocks.

Sheehan, Schon and Matete all out tonight and we looked like world beaters. Mr Schumacher sets up to play the oppo instead of forcing our game on them.
They're playing for each other and long may it continue.
Look after we conceded the goal. Heads went down for seconds then we were back at it.

Absolutely brilliant. In the 1st half up to when they scored we were chasing shadows. Seemingly outclassed. Out of nowhere McAtee scored a wonderful team goal. During the celebration the cameras caught Schuey having a long talk with Thommo. Whatever he said, the team became more organised in midfield and we were class thereafter.
Tutu and CMG were giving them no ends of problems in attack, and we took over the game.
It was a beautiful watch. To a player we played well but Tutu was MoTM. They just could not handle him.

Aye, best performance of the season by a mile. I’m sure it will have taken a lot out of the players physically, though, and we absolutely must back it up with another win on Saturday. I suspect the gaffer will need to rotate a fair bit.

Agree mate. 1st half felt tough, because they made a lot of passes. They had 2 shots and scored 1 to our 5 and scored 1. We made marginally more clearances. Not sure I felt "more threatened" than I thought they were. We worked incredibly hard out of possession. Carried it into second half and two goals that went keeper to onion bag in around 10 seconds, 4 passes and their defence in disarray.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:54 pmPlayed well for the full 90. We're all in that place about the drum...we get it 23 games minimum. We should send them on a trip with that dude from Pompey with his fckng bell.sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 11:17 pmJust been on the Brum forum and pretty much not a bad word from them about us and the result. Hmmm. They're a step up from the Windies fans in England who used to put stones in their empty beer cans and try and give Roberts and Whispering Death a sort of "drum beat" alongside a steel drum! Try 7 hours of that!KeyserSoze wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 11:36 pmAdd the barmy army cricket crowd for a horrific sport instrument trifectaWorthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 11:19 pmWe're all in that place about the drum...we get it 23 games minimum. Magnificent. Forino and CMG like having two new players. I really like Schon but I think CMG just took his shirt. I could watch that again right now. Pressing was superb, counter-attacking with an actual threat and pace, Tutu unplayable, everyone fighting for each other, when Toal made a mistake Morley nips in and saves the day, Toal slipped up again and Cogley came to the rescue, and that's not a criticism of Toal because he was the one who dragged us over the line against crawley, this is the way it should be, everyone looking out for each other, you can't expect L1 players to never make mistakes. I thought we were superb first half, Birmingham played really well as well, you could see their quality, it wasn't an off day, they were fully committed and beaten by the better side.
Schumacher is something else, right now he could put Santos in goal and Baxter up front and I'd go with it.
MotM: Macatee or Forino or Tutu impossible to pick.

I'm glad somebody else evoked the Wolves / Lofty / Pie-chucking game because that's the first thing I thought of. "You go for my mate, you go for me and all my other mates too." Forino was bang in there and then winding up the crowd; Southwood sprinting the length of the pitch. Although you don't want it every week, now and again it's definitely under Things You Love To See.sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:20 pmLet them fine us. ^^Yeah exactly and we’ve not seen that stuff from this side and the fact they are showing it should be a positive. Clearly don’t want to go too far. This day and age that could get costly with suspensions etc. but seeing togetherness, spirit and fight matters still. And they are showing it in spades.

Take a look on Couch 2 after midday if you fancy seeing into the past.
I think that's the first out and out performance that everyone can look at and say they did their bit. Players, Manager, Staff and fans. Everyone turned up.
If we're going to go 1 down and beat teams comfortably then I think I'm okay with that.
On to Burton.
Oh and the referee, thankfully the result wasn't an issue, but he was clearly inconsistent. Giving 9 free kicks to Birmingham whilst booking 2 of our players(Morley and McAtee for complaining) to the 21 he gave us and booking the 1 lad on their team who should have gone for a second yellow with the same crime Morley got his yellow for.
The melee at the end. 3 yellows to our lads and 1 to them.

Huddersfield away I’d say sits in the same category.DJBlu wrote: ↑Wed Mar 05, 2025 11:34 amTake a look on Couch 2 after midday if you fancy seeing into the past.
