Off to the Midlands Saturday and Burton who have just edged out of the relegation zone and won't be doing any favours regardless. Having done the magnificent on one Midland candidate via Brum, we won't want to let anything slide. Burton on toast is a joke obviously, because the league is as unpredictable as dancing on ice every week, with a boxing match or two thrown in.

Life's one big smile zone at the Whites home camp right now, and long may it stay so. We're back to not caring who scores as long as somebody does, and the Collins and McAtee pairing is Morecambe and Wise in football kit. Mr Schumacher has restored some pride and confidence in the side, so bring em all on. Have at it. ...

Must be few interested eyes turning the way of Jordy Tutu (especially him)and co after that display. If we don't make any headway at season end, will the magnet of fame and fortune lure away some of our heroes? It has in the past, but it would be a real shame to break up this side. it's been a while since we had such strength and camaraderie in depth in the squad with Sheehan fit again and Ric, Dempsey , Santos and Etete still to come back from physio and Randall proving a better buy than first thought.

All in all it's a great feeling, so long may it last and prosper.

The God's of football long ago decreed that we'd always struggle at Bury, Bristol City, Derby, Rotherham and Blackpool. Somehow Burton got chucked into the mix as well.

It's hard not to admire them when you see the set up. Incredible that they have not only a football league side in the town but one that got as high as division 2 quite recently. They're not quite the physical hoofball side of old but a change in style and philosophy at the start of this season had them rock bottom. Bowyer and JDB have since had a positive impact but whether it will be enough to keep them up, who knows?

I think 14 times in 27 League outings we dumped 2 or more, so I'm a lot happier with only twice since, and they were in the first three games. I can deffo see higher chances of "nil."

I mean if you looked at it similar for attack, folks don't generally say "oh look, it was just two six yard sitters we missed, rest of the time it was great!" (Albeit I think we've done so a few times under Evatt as we've come out wrong side of a close game.)

These coaches seem more attuned to better balance rather than they score two, we'll get three whilst trawling Twatter and supping Koolaid. We had a pressurised 30 mins on Tuesday but we defended with commitment and structure. Players did their jobs against either a man or the ball rather than a random three yard square patch of grass. Whilst folks say we were under it that first 30 and we certainly spent a chunk running towards our goal, Forino and Toal won pretty much every header and I think their first shot on target went in, they had a second shot later in the half. We shouldn't be scared of having to defend well for periods against good sides. An intelligent ball after a few pass build up that CDs (doing their main role rather than can they beat a man and pass it 5 yards sideways) snaffle up with a comfy header isn't a real threat.

I think Sheehan is virtually guaranteed to start. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Randall joined him in the starting lineup, as I’d imagine CMG and Tutu need resting, and I’m not sure Schuey fancies Lolos or Matete much.

I'd be quite surprised if we didn't start Sheehan - whilst being entirely supportive of why we didn't against Brum. Thommo and Morley pulled their tripe out on Tuesday - not always brilliantly, but absolutely always with 100% effort. In an ideal world, I'd want to start the two of them again v Burton, but wouldn't be surprised if Morley didn't need a blow having done both Wrexham and Brum.

Randall. Early days, nice run in behind on Tuesday and cut back to Collins at a tough angle. Both Randall and Sheehan v Burton. Dunno. Both Burton and Bristol are in 20/21 place with 3 points between 'em. They're going to be fighting.

At the minute the sort where they're fighting hard for their league place - they had a pretty good Feb. Won last 2 bith away v Lincoln and Stevenage, lost out on the 6 pointer v Bristol and had draws against Blackpool and Barnsley away. We beat them 2-1 at home.

For me, they're the sort of team that should we go 1 behind will try and ensure by any means that we don't get that one back. They often don't dominate possession. It'd be wrong for me, to just say "long ball team" that's just a media narrative for "I'd prefer to see tippy-tappy and play out from the back" - against Bristol where they lost 3-1, it was from the same number of passes, they went long less than we did v Brum. So as is often the case, we just have to adapt to what's right in front of us. They have Jon Dadi, so we know how he plays he'll need some martialling.

I think Sheehan starts but not convinced Randall will. But then it’s Schuey. Who knows!

I’d probably go for the same lineup as Tuesday but with Forrester in for Forino and Sheehan in for Thomason. My suspicion is that a few others may not have fully recovered, though, so I’m anticipating more changes.

The weather’s been relatively clement of late, so I’m hoping Burton’s pitch isn’t a ploughed field like Wrexham’s. On a reasonably sound service I think we win, possibly quite comfortably.
