Forino on for JDC? Strange shift defensively. Lets hope that doesn't cause us any problems.
Height at set pieces.
Bringing him on is the right call. Shifting the players positions is what i'm concerned about.

Good bit of height in there...

Toal, Murphy, Forino, Southwood, etc.

Wycombe equalise late on.
Lovely set of results elsewhere.

Lovely result for Bolton. Aaron Collins walking around at the end of the game clapping away. Maybe no real need to panic, probably just a sore one.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are floating in sixth place. Can we get higher?

He’s limping. But fact he’s walking is good news.

Obviously Wycombe losing would have been better but for us (pointswise today) it changes nowt - we are still 8pts off second, it’s just that it’s Wycombe not Wrexham.

We would assuming we can’t make up 8 points (and I’d not rule it out but has to be an outside chance) far prefer Wrexham to make the top two. Wycombe wouldn’t be easy but could see their momentum deflating somewhat.

Orient and Barnsley only included for old times' sake really. Right now 6th place is ours to lose, and we might be looking higher.

A reminder that Tuesday's not a full fixture list. Charlton are at Crawley. Wrexham at Reading. Stockport and Huddersfield do not play. If we win at Bristol we go at least 5th, above Stockport; if we then beat Stockport at ours on the Saturday we'll be 4pts clear of them and on much better form. Ifs and so on, but it's a happy time. Enjoy it.

I completely agree, mate. I'm not as scared of a Parky side as I would be under Evatt, but I agree with you rather than Ilesy, who keeps saying he fancies us to play and beat Wrexham in the playoffs. I don't think that's impossible but I'd rather play Wycombe... and I've not given up hope of catching one or other of them yet. Right now, I want us to be at least top four (and thus at home in the 2nd leg).

Murphy very good today. Moans about him seem unfair I think. He’s a left sided centre half and I think he’s been asked to play left wing back which he is not.

Thomason man of the match for me though.

That midfield three the best midfield we’ve seen this season. Really really liked it.

Getting giddy, this time next week we could be four points clear of Stockport in fourth

Probably last year teaches us not to get too far ahead. We all thought Oxford would be better in the final than Posh. Didn’t work out like that.

I couldn't fully watch the first half-hour but from what I saw of the game, especially out of possession it seemed to be a slightly different formation (yet again) and more of a 'straight' 5-3-2, without the "10s" - obviously both Collins and McAtee would dig back a bit to find space between the lines, and central midfielders would run forwards into the space. That's a very compact and tough shape, and one we might see again when needed.

Then when we had the ball we went very fluid. The wingbacks really pushed on and the outside centre-backs split so wide they were often chalky-booted. Sheehan often dropped in to quarterback. It was... I dunno... freeing. I'm not saying they were given carte blanche to do what they wanted, but it felt like they were able to find the spaces.

And it really worked. We had a wobble early second half (one we yet again recovered from) but overall we looked a good few streets ahead of Burton - full of confidence and trust in each other. So enjoyable to watch.
