Johnston with the "We hate Wigan" chant at the end. Love it.

Loved Forinos reaction to scoring. Sort of shows he gets it. Hard to explain how we’ve won a game we were so poor in for so long but I guess it shows the value of clean sheets.
Aye. These lads aren't as bad as is sometimes made out.

And aye, if you don't concede you don't lose and you only need one lucky break to win. They had one effort on target and only one other chance really - the header over (that could be improved upon).

Absolutely miles from a perfect performance but we just need to keep picking up points now against poor teams eyeing their flipflops. Then see if we can give the playoffs a go.

How the fekitty feck did Mcmanaman not get sent off for that?!

Up to 6th but the chasing pack are close behind and we need to step it up a gear, we’re not playin* at all well. I’ll take that result though!

Not half. We're 8pts behind 5th-placed Stockport but there are 3 teams within 3pts below us, all with better GD.

But we're in the seat, and nobody relevant has games in hand on us, so it's up to us now. And our final 7 opponents are (currently) 20th, 15th, 11th, 3rd, 12th, 14th and 13th; barring this weekend's visitors Bristol Rovers (3ps above the drop) and Wycombe, none have anything realistic to play for. We'd have settled for that when Evatt left. Let's see what happens next.

A clean sheet and a scrappy goal = 3pts. Wonderful. A much better 2nd Half and we nicked one in the end. Should do wonders for the players confidence and ending the season strong. Forino - MoTM. Defended strong and scored.

I will whisper it - "we are back in the top 6".

Just got in. From the comments it appears we scrawped it but who gives a feck? Putting one over those pie eating cnuts has been a long time coming. Finally won a derby in what seems like forever :pissed:

Exactly this. Was scrappy. Wasn't pretty, wasn't effective (at least not until Forino's effort).

Performance doesn't matter. Result matters and Schuey delivered.

Deee-lighted as any Whites fan should be, :oyea: but can any true fan accept the levels football has descended to? It's just thug-ball allowing Sunday pub level teams to bully their way into a game where the "foot" in football has become lost amongst the all-in-wrestling that now passes for the game. Should we really accept a league where the likes of Wigan and Blackpool are considered good? Not for me, the lords of misrule who write the scripts don't give one as long as the current status-quo exists. It needs to change.

Okay, like I said, I'm delighted with the result, but not the football. ae:)

I mean in the long run. Bad. We're bad.. Lots needs doing, and a full summer would be good. But you can't underestimate how funny that was.

Curse broken? Yes! Was it good? Absolutely not!

There is a lot to improve but its a funny game. Confidence is crucial and If you dont have it, you hide, get rid of the ball quickly and to anywhere, you cant control it, a simple pass is misplaced etc.. I believe today, because of the recent loses, we lacked confidence. A couple lucky wins and it confidence comes back.

Not too concerned about how we looked today. This 3 points and another on the weekend will get us back playing like what these players are capable of.

Notwithstanding, even at our best we are not a top L1 team at the moment given current players. Schuey has a lot to fix, but if Toal, Dempsay and Santos can get back to match sharpness for the last 6 or so games, we will be better and can finish strong.
