At least, for my money, Abimbola has played his way into the 11. Might even be a way for Randall to come back in with someone like him, who gives a shit, in front. Collins and Macca were diabolical.
Yeah he showed more effort than the previous front three - combined. Play the young uns now - they will probably fight for the shirt.

Just remember that was a team today representing BWFC who had to realistically win that game, and SS had also asked them to show him that they deserve a place next season.

Enough said....the majority of that team do not give a fcuk about anyone but themselves. Not fit to wear the shirt is very apt today IMO.

Playing badly when you're playing for your career isn't what I'd call selfish.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Schumacher had just said on interview that he’s said to the players ‘people have called you soft for years and I can see why’.

Hahahahahaha. Keep talking like that Schuey these arseholes need telling.

Thomason had a good first half. Kept running into the 2nd. Thought he showed he wanted to be here.

Actually thought Forino and Johnston had decent games, as did JDC. Matete wasn't awful. Abimbola showed some good pace, strength and desire when he came on.

Everyone else was awful. Properly disappointed in Collins and McAtee in particular. Dempsey sort of gets a pass as he's not quite match fit. Etete is basically Grzegorz Rasiak.

Not happy with them tonight at all.

........and bizarrely we're still in the mix.
Which team member are they going to sacrifice to the BEN with the 'next three games are crucial' narrative? 😁

Wycombe had a much better team / squad than us, they had experience, they had leaders, they had pace, they where physical, they had several players with good experience from a better standard / level of football, and TBH never needed to even get out of 1st gear.

I wonder what their wage bill is compared to ours ? I suspect ours is higher which if so is shocking management, but it does show what can be done and is needed squad wise to compete for the top 2.

Well that was a long, miserable, wet walk home.

I've no idea what we're trying to do up top. There's no width, nothing in the middle, zero creativity and most worryingly, no spirit. The usual, useless ref could have added 90 minutes injury time, we were never scoring.

Think that's as bad as I've seen in 50 years.

Hats off to Wycombe. They've taken some blows this season and they're still in the top two with three games left. Above Wrexham.

In terms of next season I think I'd rather see Wrexham frig off out of the division - but today showed that we're a very long way off. Mathematically we're 18pts behind Wycombe - the same gap downwards takes you to 18th place, and that feels about right. We can't keep a clean sheet, we don't score much and we don't have many heroes.

I do genuinely trust Schumacher as the best man for the job, but I do think he's got a bigger job on than he, I and many others suspected. I've said that Rioch turned Neal's squad into promotion material with just three signings (but what signings - Branagan, McGinlay, Lee). The same could be true again - love them or hate them, many of these lads came close last year - but right now it feels like they'd have to be absolute belters to do the same job. This is a squad crying out for summer and a reset.

Schumacher's post match interview is excellent, I no longer worry about next season he knows what's required. Without coming out and naming players directly the interview shows how pissed off, angry and extremely frustrated he is - he talks about the soft mentality, having no quality, no pace, Abimbola coming on and getting stuck in when no one else is.

Superb interview, he can absolutely see what the fans see.

Schumacher is absolutely fuming. You can see it. He gets it. I like Schuey a lot. He easily could have come out and talked about injuries instead he’s absolutely rightly throwing the wankers we have playing for us under the bus. I don’t care that many will have to be here next season as nobody will want them - we know that. But they all have needed telling for a long time.

Maybe we will have to spend next season plonking them with the kids till they earn a shirt and sending them back to the kids if they fail to deserve to keep it. We’d not be going up but I’m not sure we will unless there is a way to make wholesale and I mean wholesale changes this summer.

You can’t magic a tune out of the dog shit we’ve accumulated.

Haven't yet watched Schuey's post match interview, but losing 6 out of last 8 when challenging for promotion is not a good look or inspires confidence in him. I expected better. I hoped he would have gotten a tune out of this side he inherited. He hasn't.

Wycombe had a very easy game today and did what they had to do to win. I liked the fight in midfield, and thought with Tutu, we were threatening. Without him, we had nothing attacking until the youngster came on. We are well below par and not sure that we have the money to transform this team in the summer.

I'd go and watch.

He isn't happy, there's getting a tune out of players, then there is dealing with the best of a bad bunch. There are a shit ton of injuries and he's being forced to play players who aren't doing what he asks. He's mentioned that a youngster came on and showed them what it takes to get the crowd going. Sadly it's a culture, an ex managers culture. There needs to be a lot of changes and part of me thinks these interviews are a call to the board too.

He’s absolutely ripped them apart - as much as a manager can. And I agree this is partly to say to the board - it’s going to need a lot of work and money.

First half we weren’t terrible. Probably the better side and we didn’t look troubled. We struggled to create anything though. Second half was just really passive.

Overall I think Lolos tried, but it limited and looked tired after 25 minutes. Tutu won free kicks and was our only outlet until he went off. Collins seems the sort who wants to drift in and out of games, which isn’t what we need. McAtee was ineffectual. I still don’t really know what his position is.

The back 4 I thought looked decent on the whole. They dealt with things and restricted a promotion chasing side to few chances. We still managed to concede 2 though, which is our standard.

Thomason worked hard. Dempsey looked half a yard off it (acceptable post injury) and Matete did some tidy things. I didn’t hate the midfield in the first half.

I think we really need to fast track Adembola. He was a real handful when he came on. Can’t remember the last time we had a forward who wanted to bully defenders. He held the ball up well and drew them in wrestling with him. He feels like he could do well in league 1 next year and maybe free up space for people like Tutu, Collins, Randall etc behind. I’d give him 20-30mins in these last 3 games and then full first team involvement through pre season.

Also, I have to say I was one who didn’t want to write players off in Jan. I wanted to give the players time to see if they could turn it around under a new manager and show they can be better. Unfortunately some of them look even worse in recent weeks.
