Abimbola might have handled that in. He’s also the standout for us. Playing really well.

Sharples-Ahmed seems to be struggling. Commentator referring to our 'shaky backline'.

We're going to need 6 or 7 with this defending. 3 at the back post with no Bolton player near them.

Really do wish he'd put Jones out wide and stick JDC RCB. Recovery speed just isn't there.

Of this current lot, I'd want to keep Tomo (seems like he cares, has an engine), JDC (seemingly indestructible and versatile, but he'd have to content himself with not being a guaranteed starter), Johnston (still only young for a defender) and Collins (has shown he can score even improbable goals, and even when we're under the cosh).
Plus the two youngsters.
From the subs bench - I'd still like to keep Santos. Think he could be a great defender if he's just able to keep it simple. Dempsey runs and runs.
From the injury list - JOT (maverick winger, something we're sorely missing), Morley (cracking range, wand of a right foot) and Sheehan (providing he's played with someone behind him) are all worth keeping.
Can't say I'd be too sore about seeing the rest go.
And while I was typing away - WANKY WANDERERS STRIKE AGAIN!

Collins misses a header, completely unchallenged.

Abimbola definitely has something about him. A little glimmer of positivity in what has been a dispiriting season.

That did make me chuckle inside.

We could make a case of any of them. The problem we have is that we don't have enough players who physically cause the opposition problems. Too many of our players are of a similar ilk, technically good but physically lacking and not challenging enough.truewhite15 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 3:43 pmOf this current lot, I'd want to keep Tomo (seems like he cares, has an engine), JDC (seemingly indestructible and versatile, but he'd have to content himself with not being a guaranteed starter), Johnston (still only young for a defender) and Collins (has shown he can score even improbable goals, and even when we're under the cosh).

Swap out a number of our players for a better balanced side and we should see decent uptick in fortunes.
Collins can get goals out of nowhere, i'd still be more interested in the likes of Dion Charles. Someone who scores but puts in a shift every game. Kevin Davies wasnt the most prolific, but you knew he was on the pitch. Collins is a really good finisher, but it feels like we're playing with 10 men for most of the match.

Can see Demps for Sharples-Ahmed second half.
