Pointing the way. Stevenage at home Sat, 3rd May 3-0'clock
A whole week is a long time with no match thread, especially as it's our last this season, so I'll risk life and limb and open it.
A good attendance at the Toughsheet is almost guaranteed despite the good, bad or indifferent views or reasons. One point will not be enough to soothe the savage breast and a spicy menu is almost guaranteed. Will we give as many as possible a last chance to wear the White shirt and will our gladiators remember what we actually pay them for? Just how many of them really want to do so? Stout-hearted men or faint-hearted wimps, which shall it be?
For me, I'd like to see desire to stay and fight the good fight, but I don't pay the wages or pick the teams. Forino, Toal, Thomason, Dempsey, and Randall (will he want to stay a Northener or head back south ?) are my core starters, but opinions are as flexible as lengths of footy socks, which raises the issue of Collins and McAtee as our front men. Have ai it at your leisure Gentlemen and ladies.

Not had many dead games in the last decade but this is one. Win lose or draw it doesn’t matter and everyone goes home very dissatisfied with this season. Get it done and focus on never letting this happen again.

Jesus. F*cking. Christ.
If your constant negative sentiment wasn't so predictable, it would be unbelieveable.
Don't bother with this one then, and please don't bother posting afterwards about how bad it was, and enjoy your extended summer.....

Who the feck are you Dave - the guy can post what he wants, this and other forums are all about opinions - not everyone shares BWFCI's opinion and not many share your opinion that everything BWFC related is rosy, and your constant 'everything is positive' sentiment is also as equally predictable.dave the minion wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 5:58 pmJesus. Re: Pointing the way. Stevenage at home Sat, 3rd May 3-0'clock
I'm just an average Joe (Dave?) who is sick and tired of the negativity in the world, and who will always try to see the best in any situation (however trying that might be some times).
If that makes me a bad person then I am a bad person and I apologise for that.
And please don't think for one minute I believe everything in the BWFC world is rosy. It's very very far away from that. Very far.
However, as a supporter - and the clue is in the name - I will always try to support my club, team & players I til I know with certainty that they are deliberately not trying or losing on purpose. I dont believe everything is a conspiracy. I don't believe professional athletes are purposefully not trying, and because of that I find the abuse & vitriol directed at them abhorrent.
I'm as frustrated as the next man or woman. I've had a season ticket for 20+ years and supported the club for nearly 40 years. I don't always like what I see, but i live in the eternal optimism that things will get better.
Anyways, that's who I am. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I genuinely believe no one is entitled to direct personal and often unsubstantiated abuse at any of our owners, management or players.
Thank you and good night ..

"A forum is a public discussion. It can refer to a meeting, a meeting house or any conversation that is available publicly. There were forums — large public gathering places — in Ancient Rome; they can still be found across the globe." (Wikipedia)
Back in Roman times two forumers are worthy of mention for constant differences of opinion, history tells us..Negativimus Pitchforkius and Positivius Getinivus.

Stopped clock and all that. If we keep approaching every summer like that, it will happen. One day......

It's just a pathology. Some folk are optimists, some folk are pessimists. Whatever gets you through the night.

Perhaps we should change our Bolton motto, Supera Moras,(Overcome Delays) to Veni Vidi Vici...(I came, I saw, I conquered)Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 10:05 pmIt's just a pathology. Some folk are optimists, some folk are pessimists. Whatever gets you through the night.

At least the weather will be nice. Enjoy a few beers (if you partake) in the sun.
Awards that night will be interesting, I'll report back.

Please do mate. Like you say, "interesting" is the word. Thomo might not always be perfect, but he's the total Wanderer for me for "Player of the year". Some might not agree...
