Pre-season 2025

Post by Dave Sutton's barnet » Tue May 20, 2025 4:08 pm

Yes, a new thread, and a thrillingly short date. What, you're confused?

Anyway, we've announced our first two opponents and, well, let's just say I laughed at the respondent who aked if we could play Rochdale to add some glamour.

Only eight weeks until the first game. That transfer thread of Pru's better pick up a bit.

How long does "content download," take these days?

In summer 2000, me and our kid went to Copenhagen to watch a Bolton XI of mostly trialists get beat 6-0 by Lyngby.

We had a chat with Claus Jensen after the game (he played for Lyngby before joining us). At the time, he was rumoured to be moving to Ipswich, so we begged him not to and he gave us his word he wouldn't. Signed for Charlton the following week.

There's a few I'd like you to beg to go to Ipswich. Or Nantwich.

Believe the pre-season trip is to Marbella. Not sure if there are any official fixtures, mind.

They should be doing a penance tour of Siberia, not San Migueling it up in Spain.

Personally I always preferred Cruz Campo but I've been tee-total for a long time, so.... :kettle:

If there were a Premier league for talking we'd be right up there with the best. Footballers deserve a physical vacation break like anyone else, but unlike most it's just that they get paid a lot of money whilst taking it. Right now, talk -wise we're Schurely top-enders. :oyea:

I'd rather a PSG at the Toughsheet in early June!

You can judge how long they've been away from sun-tan levels. More difficult in the case of the seniors who usually come back about Christmas..
