He certainly ticks all the right boxes. Wasn't there a game last season where we had about 60 crosses or something stupid and didn't score? Feels like this lad would have had a hattrick or 3 in that game. A lack of a finisher and even more importantly a target man has been a problem for us for a very long time. I can't remember the last time we had one? Madine? Hopefully he's as good as his videos make him out to be. It's a very exciting first signing, well I'm excited.

No PSG. Just a FSG (flag, scarf, grin). The game has gone.

A very important signing...maybe the most important gap we needed to fill. A physical #9 who can jump and head. Now our Wing Backs / Wingers can square the ball in the air and not only on the ground as they had to do because none of our forwards knew how to jump. Now our next important target... a left back.

We've been crying out for a target man that can do a job.

He's good enough for Parky. If we can get him in the SKD role we might actually be able to hold the ball up top for a change.

Very happy with this. Just need another like him, a keeper and 3 mad bastards who can play at centre half or def mid.

Two slots left for overage outfield players? Not much wiggle room.

I'd be stunned if there weren't, albeit maybe not entirely in our hands...

The window shuts at 7pm today and re-opens on Monday. I'm looking forward to a plethora of new signing announcements (and several departures) next week.

How can we make transfers windows even more ridiculous?

No doubt sky sports news are holding a count down.

Gotta say this one has me somewhat baffled. I know it's because of the "Club World Cup," but unless you're in it, you probably don't give much of a shit and given most teams across the world aren't in it, just strikes me as pretty dumb.

A four year deal for a lad who's 25 and relatively unproven is actually quite a massive risk. I get that we've probably beaten out competiton from the divison above due to giving him a longer deal, but I really hope we don't get burned again here.

It certainly has the Dan factor about it, if we're not careful...

Interesting point in Iles' article announcing the signing. We scored just seven headed goals last season, one of the lowest totals in the football pyramid. Let's hope Dalby goes part way to sorting that issue. It also ( In part) reinforces my point about our centre backs needing to contribute more goals and our appalling set piece delivery.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

I thought of Dan too with the long contract but the similarities end there. Our Sam has a track record to speak of and in terms of a transfer fee, cost us nowt.

Big Dan on the other hand...
