Bradford could be one of those surprise teams. Pressure off - big home crowds - look like they are investing a bit. Wouldn’t shock me. Not unlike Stockport this season.
All things are possible in an an infinite universe. But when Stockport went up (as 92pt champions) they won 12 away games and drew 6; their 42pts on the road was the division's best total. Last season Bradford snuck up on the last day, having gained just 23pts (W5 D8) on the road - the division's 16th-best total. That would take one hell of a turnaround – not to mention that well-bankrolled Stockport also signed about a dozen players last summer.

Not unsurprising... will be interesting to see who of this lad and TSL do better in L1. Not least for England fans...

Would be a decent Sonny Carey replacement for Blackpool, this. Darren Witcoop says Huddersfield were interested but it looks like Blackpool wanted him more.

Heard they did need a new right winger.

J/K Wes is ace (apart from his weird religious stuff).

As it happens, I'm going for a pint tomorrow with my nephew who works for Wes. I'll float the idea of him ditching Blackpool to be our back-up keeper instead.

Plymouth resign themselves to losing another key man.

Blackpool have done some decent business: Horsfall, Ihiekwe (experienced CB pairing), Honeyman with midfield nous, and Ennis for being a defender's pain in the neck.

And, for all his faults, a pretty decent manager too. I'm quite jealous of the business they've done. They should be up their challenging given the probable outlay on fees and wages.

Be nice if Luton lost this lad. Pete O'Rourke: "Sheffield United, Leicester and Middlesbrough are eyeing moves for Luton Town attacker Millenic Alli. Alli scored four goals in six starts at the back end of last season."
https://x.com/SportsPeteO/status/1938164905263177953 Also. Per a respectable Scots-based journo, Plymouth are set to sign a striker (Owen Oseni) from St Mirren for £60,000 (he corrected himself from the original figure).

Stockport away on the opening day. What do you think?

Tough start and tough run-in. Need to be on it from the dot.

Everyone has to play each other twice. The order can impact but I suspect not too much. Can be good playing some of the stronger sides early before they settle or could be the same said of playing us.

Just got to win every game. Not much to ask.

We certainly can’t ease our way into the season. That’s a tough start.

An early indicator to see whether the collective backbone has indeed been strengthened.
