Barnsley have apparently had a big bid in for Luka Connell from a 'League 1 rival'. Can't see it being us, I predict Wycombe, which might mean no bid for Morley.

Interesting that a good number of their fans commenting would be delighted to see him go after last season.

I would guess Huddersfield, given they missed out on Galbraith.

Edit: the rumour is actually specifically Wycombe.

Another winger? Going to start getting giddy at this rate. Fixing all the issues we’ve had for the last few years on paper at least.

Was on loan at Blackburn last season I see. Did he play much? Anyone any clue on how he did?

That's a surprise (Saturday signing).

Yes this was a complete surprise, well done to the club keeping this one quiet. I don't think anyone had any idea (outside of the inner circle) about this one.

New signings...

Teddy Sharman-Lowe
Richard Taylor
Xavier Simons
Thierry Gale
Sam Dalby
Amario Cozier-Duberry
Charlie Warren

I would imagine, from that squad build so far, that TSL will get first choice. Taylor and Simons likewise. Gale and Cozier-Duberry interchanging on wings and crossing. Warren to get the odd run out in cup games. Dalby to start first choice.

That's 7 up, potentially Ceesay coming in from Norkoping which would make it 8.

The numbers aren't looking great from any of these lads we're bringing in. Then again, the numbers looked good for McAtee and Collins prior to them playing, so numbers for other teams doesn't necessarily mean good numbers for our team.

He's also under 21 which is an added bonus.

Benik Adobe, possibly THE worst striker I've ever seen in a Bolton shirt had shocking numbers before us, one outstanding season and a couple of decent ones after. IIRC Macginlay hadn't set the world on fire before arriving here. Numbers, statistics and damn lies. They'll all get a clean sheet and a chance to make their own with us.

Former Arsenal Under-18 coach Jack Wilshere describes him to be, "in some moments, he's (Cozier-Duberry) unplayable. You give him the ball, and he can make things happen."[5]

Mainly played as a sub but managed 712 minutes. 7 starts and subbed off in every one of those games. One goal and no assists in his 22 appearances.

Blackburn Rovers head coach John Eustace says Amario Cozier-Duberry's first start and first goal for the club showed his all-round ability. The on-loan Brighton & Hove Albion winger opened the scoring in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Luton which was Blackburn's sixth successive victory.

Cozier-Duberry had been limited to just seven substitute appearances because of an ankle injury sustained in October but the 19-year-old made a big impression on his full debut.

"He was outstanding - he's been training very well and was close to starting four or five weeks ago before he got injured," Eustace told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"In the first half he was virtually unplayable and I was pleased he scored a great goal.

All slotting into place quite nicely.

Left back is still the glaring hole - unless Conway's stock has risen so high that we're now happy with him as 1st choice, with Szabi and youth as back-ups, or Szabi himself is in contention with Conway as deputy? Similar at right back, where a JDC injury leaves us picking from the U18 or JOT, who is surely more suited higher up the pitch. Also missing a valid back-up to Dalby.

Assuming it's the much-mooted 4-3-3...

GK - TSL (Hutchinson, Southwood)
RB - JDC (?)
LB - Schon (Conway)
CB - Taylor, Toal (Forino, Johnston, Forrester)

DM - Simons (Sheehan)
CM - Morley, Thomason (Dempsey, Randall)

W - ACD, Gale (JOT, CMG)
ST - Dalby (McAtee, Nlundulu, Lolos, Adeboyejo)

Thanks. Sounds ideal - bit of championship experience but needs more game time.

Cozier-Duberry was one of the most highly rated players in Arsenal’s academy, so I think we can count this as quite the coup. I’d certainly have much higher expectations for him than Gale.

Randall is going to have a great season with flying wingers on either side of him, and midfield tacklers behind doing the work. He will be perfect in that #10 role.

The two new lads are 5' 6" and 5' 7" so are small. They have a low centre of gravity though so will rely on twisting, turning and trickery. Tutu, Gale and Cozier-Duxberry all look pretty quick (Schon is not slow but he is not in the same mould as the other three).

Cozier-Duxberry does have the look of Saka about him. Left footer on the right wing. He has got the skills, can beat a man but likes to cut in and shoot.

Earrings. Hip-hop music, not called Ron...

He's going to be a tackling machine.
