I see from other places that on that platform the ‘in built’ AI response is now suggesting we give a second holocaust a try.

Truly truly do not understand how why any self respecting business has any presence on that thing at all.
Oh it's a cesspit, Musk is a dangerous freak, and it encourages wrong'uns to band together.

However, it allows Bolton Wanderers to directly contact a follower-base of 255,000. Any business, trying to sell tickets and merchandise and what the hell ever else, would need a very strong reason to abandon that target-market database.

Whether you or I agree with that ethically is a different thing, but surely you must understand it.
We banned bookies at the stadium! It doea feel inconsistent. :-)

I mean isn’t that how fascism or extremist movements have thrived historically? A lot of ‘well I mean these people are our customers we can’t do a lot about it’?

I know what you are saying but I’d rather hope we are (I mean society, business broadly here) better than that now but seemingly not.

If they moved elsewhere then surely the fans would follow and those that wouldn’t - maybe we’d be better off without them!

Yeah, all that. I just know that at FFT we worked really hard to get our following to six figures and it was a key business target. I can imagine our sales team and CEO would do their nut if we just turned it off. And we weren't even selling anything directly (bar some subscriptions).

You might be right about follower migration but I doubt it would be in the same numbers. You might be right about the ethical quality of those who didn't switch, but idiots buy bucket hats too.

Meanwhile, I see the prime minister who was happy to weigh in on a rapper's gobshittery at a festival is now making no effort to leave a platform whose much-pushed AI is promoting Hitler. I'm sure there's a reason for that, but I'm glad I don't have to make these decisions now.

Anyway, to get the convo back on topic, here's the gaffer failing to get it in the bin. (Is a YouTube embed morally OK?)

Cogz is in great nick, eh? You can see why he barely misses a game.

Indeed - he's been decent for us, probably playing at the top end of his capabilities. Plenty of others just chugging along.

5pm social drop is a chat with Randall. No obvious teaser.
