World Cup Bets

Post by hisroyalgingerness » Wed Jun 07, 2006 1:16 pm

what am i going to do? with up to 3 games a day and a range of things to bet on from tourney top scorer, team to reach the final and heaven forbid individual matches - my loose change is gonna drip down the tube

so to start with i've gone for:

Van Noodleroy top scorer at a great 14-1
Ronaldinho at a healthy 16-1
and for hopeful purposes our Jared at 50-1!! come on mexico

gone against all i belive in and put argies to win at 8-1 cos Brazil weren't worth betting on

noticed some great other ones including Germany to get to the final at about 7-1

i've gone for one of the following to end up in the top 3 goalscorers:

Borgetti 20/1
Frei 40/1
Zurawski 40/1
Koller 32/1

hopeful! haha.

I've got £5 outright for Borgetti top scorer. 50-1
£2 each way for Christiano Ronaldo to be top scorer (Portugal being with Mexcio in the suppossedly easiest group. 100-1
£1 each way Australia to win 125-1 (don't know why I did that)

no no, 20-1 Borgetti being in the top 3 goalscorers at the end of the tournament.

1.Adriano - 7 goals
2. Luca Toni - 6 goals
3. Borgetti - 5 goals

win!

Costa Rica are 12-1 to beat Germany tonight. They're huge odds for any result but come on, after all the shocks on previous world cup first days and considering how shite Germany look on paper I think they're outstanding odds

Quite good, but I think Lehmann to be booked/sent off is better.

(What he'll do first)

Keep a clean sheet 8/11
Concede a goal 11/8
Booked or sent off 9/1
Save a penalty 25/1
Substituted 33/1

Betfair.com had an offer in the mirror this morning when you set up it gave you a free £5. It's not like the £50 offers where you have to put £50 on and you don't get the stake back if you win it's a stright £5 in your account.

I'm thinking Michael Owen at evens to score any time tonight is a good bet with free money, though i may get adventurous and put it on Joe Cole at 4-1
