Interesting reading WartHogs memories. What it says to me is that most teams that win the WC have a top class goal scrorer - Gerd Muller in '74, I think Kempes was the man in '78, and Rossi came good all of a sudden in 82.
Unfortunately we don't seem to have one this year whereas Argentina seem to have a queue,
