Kewell Charged for swearing at ref

i'm not having the statement "it happens... every ref puts up with it"

bollocks they shouldn't. players should keep their emotions in check and respect the officials. fecking spoilt brats like harry that spoil the whole thing. poll would've sent him off, provided he had his earpiece in and kewell was wearing a white shirt...

I agree, yet another footballer living on past glories, if they dont have any respect for the officials then they shouldnt be playing.
Who the hell is this ringing at half past ten.......

The bit in bold is a load of garbage, but I agree with the sentiments - he should have been sent off and he deserves a ban should one come his way.

Not at all no, I want him to stay. He was in the top 5 for player of the season in my opinion. And £5 million for someone of his undoubted ability is a snip, especially when we paid £9 million for Diouf and £5 million for Diao.............

Indeed - you can say what you like about Kewell but £5million looked an absolute bargain at the time Liverpool bought him.

It's not that he was an absolute bargain; it's more a case of Liverpool ripping the cash strapped Leeds off. This isn't a criticism, I'm sure Bolton would have done the same but my point is that his price was artificially low because of the Leeds situation.

That said given his performance since he signed for the 'pool I'd say that £5million was actually way, way too much.
