Trouble in Bolton..
Anyone any idea what happened in Bolton last night? They shut everywhere and for aboout 45 minutes we were stuck on Bradshawgate.

You too eh?
Arrived in town about 8.30 to be greeted by mass police on Bradshawgate.
"All the pubs and clubs in Bolton are closed for the rest of the night," said a rozzer through a loud speaker, "disperse or you will be arrested."
I know that it kicked off in Wetherspoons and word is that two pubs were trashed. Other than that I'm in the dark. We finished up in the Sweet Green Tavern, getting nostalgic about the times we used to go in there before trips to Burnden Park.
I got the bus back at 10.30 and went in my local. It kicked off in there as well with a couple of slappers being at the centre of the action. Hugely entertaining.

Very sad indeed. Two blokes in Germany with SS enblems on thier bodies from Bolton and now this. We'll never get city status
.
In all seriousness, how on earth can a fight evolve after losing an England match between English fans. Bizarre.

There was trouble in Carlisle between Liverpool and Man Utd fans. The Mancs were blaming Gerrard and Carragher for England losing, and the scousers were blaming Rooney...Dr.Karl wrote:Very sad indeed. I don't know which I'm laughing at the most - England fans fighting amongst themselves, or the fact that it took place between "Scousers" and "Mancs" in Carlisle?Hoolio wrote:There was trouble in Carlisle between Liverpool and Man Utd fans. The trouble on Saturday and the aforementioned SS incident doesn't really bode well, does it? Mind you, I don't think it's much of an indication that there will be any trouble at BWFC games this year, think pretty much every town in the country has had problems with pissed up idiots during the World Cup.
