Well, the standard sporting approach didn't seem to work too well.Little Green Man wrote:Well, Tiny Jademan is uncannily inaccurate. Don't like the sound of being brained by one of Monty's stools.Lennon wrote:Are the character traits intended to match those of the forum member?

That got me looking up the names of native American tribes. I never knew about the following:TANGODANCER wrote:His father was a Chipewa.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Mad Horse Little Chip, eh? Is he the son Fish'n Lever?
Nipissing
Kickapoo
Acolapissa
I can see why you'd keep those names quiet once the hordes of puerile, English-speaking settlers rolled into town.
I presume the first of these tribes went on to provide generations of lifeguards for municipal pools, much like the descendants of the Nibombing tribe.

They don't translate very well into English, any more than Lake Titikaka. The Nipissing actually came from Canada - there is a town and university in Ontario of that name. I am assuming that you have never heard of Kickapoo Joy Juice, which might be worth a try (you will find several thousand recipes on google I feel sure). There are many strange Indian names throughout the land, often the result of half deaf French explorers not really hearing what the people call themselves.Little Green Man wrote:That got me looking up the names of native American tribes. It was either that or "Baldy McJohn", sort of Gravestone's answer to Cider Billy.superjohnmcginlay wrote:Managed to read the first 7 last night - printed 'em off and read 'em in t'pub after work (bit busy at work at moment). Great stuff lads. But a sheriff???!! hmm.
