The Wanderer Chat Room

Post by blurred » Fri Sep 22, 2006 4:11 pm

Is here!

Ok, maybe not specific to TW, but has anyone heard of Gabbly Chat?

Gabbly

How do I use Gabbly to chat on a webpage?

Simply type gabbly.com/ in front of a webpage's URL, you will be able to chat with anyone visiting the page at the same time!

For example, to chat on CNN.com, just visit 'gabbly.com/cnn.com' in your browser. You'll see the CNN website with the Gabbly Chat window floating on top.

Is there anything to download or install?

Nope! There's no need to download or install anything. If you have a web browser, you can chat.

Very interesting, can you actually talk one on one with someone else visiting that website?

Dunno if you can do one-on-one with it or not, but it does pop up a mini window, and you can ignore people on it I think...

Not really explored it properly, yet

I've used something similar as a Firefox plug-in.. I forget the name though. It worked ok then.

Thing is it's alright when people view bbc.co.uk/football but how many people view our index for any length of time?

Well then this thread can work as a sort of 'sign in' for people, when there's a busy period (like a matchday, perhaps, or a lunchtime)
