No, i want him back because he was a quality goalscorer, the likes of which we haven't seen for ages. Considering the attempts we've made with Jardel and Jansen, and the ones we would've with Tristan, i think it's worth a punt.

People seem to forget, the first prem season when he got the england cap he only got 11 goals?? our midfielders are out scoring that, he was at the top of his game then and will never ever recapture that form, therefore he is NOT good enough to play for us now as we need someone who is capable of getting double his tally (we have that now)

Sometimes you don't like seeing some players down an out. Jansen for example no fault of his own - ok so perhaps he was driving his scotter like a nob, but whi knows - but serious injury has ruined his career.

Ricketts - no way, he was allegedly getting fined every month at Bolton for being fat near the end of his spell, and after creating him, he felt he was too good for a club of our stature so joined the smoggies!!

He deserves this break!!
