Sean, Roger, George, Timothy, Pierce who???

Superb!!

Just watched it tonight and thought it was a fantastic film, that answered so many questions as to how James Bond became the cold hearted brick wall that he is. I will admit that I was one of the 'Daniel fxcking Craig!' crew, but very, very well done sir!

Daniel Craig is James Bond, 007, licensed to make many, many more!!!

I was also very interested in the relationship between Bond and 'M' and was not disappointed, Daniel Craig was born to play Bond, and Judy Dench was born to play 'M' It's as simple as that.

No need for gadgets, no need for cars with rockets in the headlights. This film was about the making of a character that has wowed the world for 30 years plus.

Oh, and this is for those that have seen the film. Did you like me wait throughout the film for it? only to cast it of as a no show. Then have it smack you across the face in the final ten seconds of the film? 8)

P.S The torture scene!!!!!!!!

Mummy, I'd like to leave the cinema now pleeease!! ImageImageImage

Agreed with Soldier. Terrific film. When he caught the gun on top of the crane and threw it straight back at the bouncing / running guy's head, I thought 'proper Bond, for the first time in years' and not that overrated clothes horse from the last four films.

And an actor who can actually make fight scenes look like they involve a trained profesional, and not an ageing actor with arthoritis!

Started watching it on a pirate copy last night at the girlfriends house, but she decided to blow dry her hair half an hour into it, so I switched it off.
Was very impressed with what I saw. Slightly reminiscent of early Bond in style, but the action was far more brutal and the dialogue isn't quite as flamboyant and clichéd.
Looking forward to watching the full thing. I'll have to make sure she doesn't go for a shower when I press play.

that certainly sounds like a useful button - press "play" and the lady strips off for a shower...

Batman

Saw it tonight.

I was bored rigid. I laughed at all the 'wrong' places - the emotional scenes with Vesper were hilarious, they reminded me of the Anakin-Padme stuff from Star Wars.

I enjoyed the free running bit at the start but the rest was pretty poor. Craig was a decent Bond until he opened his gob and some gibberish came forth. Eva Green was mesmerising as Lynd, though she had all the personality of a dead fish.

Judi Dench ruins every film she is in with her daft twitches, the direction however was excellent and I enjoyed the title sequence.

Can anyone tell me who wrote the theme and the name of the song - that was the ONE bit I enjoyed most.

Pretty poor all round, but then again I don't like Bond. Should have gone to see the Prestige - a proper film.

Saw it this afternoon. It was pretty good. Like others have said, I found Bond's fallibility a little bit hard to deal with. Eva Green was a bit average-looking for a Bond-girl, and I couldn't believe it when 007 started declaring his love for her, decided to quit the service etc.

And that defibrillator scene? I mean, I'm no doctor, but come on. It was quite cool that he got up and won the poker game afterwards though.

A couple of people have mentioned how good the last ten seconds were, leading me to believe that something has gone over my head.

And Commie's right - the music is no good.

Thought it was pretty poor, but then again the director doesn't have the best pedigree.

As for the criticisms of Eva Green's looks, are you blind!?!?!

:conf:

I doubt I'd give her a double take if I passed her in the street.

(If she weren't famous, of course. On that note, I saw Jimmy Floyd Hasslebank in Harrods yesterday, and sat two rows behind James Cracknell and Ben Fogle (now his missus IS hot) at the Palladium last night.)
