The Guardian's The Knowledge

Post by Idiot Wind » Wed Jan 10, 2007 12:45 pm

The following question is on today's The Knowledge:

"Has any player ever scored more than once directly from a corner and, if so, who is the most prolific goalscorer from corners ever?"

Didn't Paul Comstive once score directly from a corner twice in one match??? I'm too useless on t'tinternet to find any details!

New Year's Day 90-91ish v Bournemouth, we won 4-1. Tony Philliskirk scored a late pen after conning Compo that he'd got a touch on one of the corners.

On Pro Evo 6 it's nigh on impossible! In Pro Evo 5 I'd worked out exactly where to aim and how much power to put on it....still only worked about 20% of the time ....damn that crossbar

Also, judging by your reaction, am I to assume you've had this done to you and weren't best pleased about it?

I've got one for them. Name a Lancashire team, currently playing in the top 5 of the premier league who has played fewer long passes than the rest of the top 5, scored from fewer set pieces and have an average first team age of less than 28

i reckon they'd struggle

How is it sad? The look on your mates' faces when it goes in is always priceless! You know you've tried it
