West Ham are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Over & above their bid for Ben Haim (now, OK, I can see why Chelsea would turn his head ... even Spurs ... possibly even Pompey [actually, no I can't] ... but "come & join our relegation dog-fight in the famously Jewish friendly East-End" ?!?!?!)

Arsenal's right-back Lauren is another target for the struggling Hammers. (Daily Mail)

I know it's all paper talk, but this is funny ... more so when you realise this is all a one-shot solution which, if it fails, will put the recently acquired club into serious, serious debt just as the new Premier money comes in.

Having been so broke when they were relegated that they had to have a fire sale. Then coming back uplast year they went on a spend-spend-spend spree as though none of that had happened. So much so that they were again stoney broke, so they were available to a take-over. It was vital that last years gamble paid off ... &, to be fair, it did. But this year has all gone seriouslt tits up.

That take-over happened & all debts presumably covered, but preformances put the whole experiment into doubt. Solution ??? ... more 'spend-spend-spend'.

If they do actually go down again you have to wonder if they can survive. OK they won't end up in the Isthmian League, but it could take them years to recover this time.

...& no-one should fail to see that the big-eared biscuit man is in it for the football. He's a businessman & wants a return.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Are they looking to build a team that can actually play together, or will anybody do?

Spam are apparently interested in Alexei Smertin, his agent however is not interested in the hammers he is quoted on the BBC website

Fulham and West Ham have offered former Russia captain Alexei Smertin a route back to the Premiership, according to the player's agent.
The 31-year-old, who left Dinamo Moscow last week, has previously played for Portsmouth, Charlton and Chelsea.

"Fulham are one of the clubs who want to sign Alexei and they have made him a firm offer," agent Paulo Barboza said.

"An offer from West Ham interested the player, but we don't want him to join another relegation candidate."

Oh how we laughed :D :D :D :D

Listening to TalkSpam on the way home and apparently it was all Graham Poll's fault today. Despite the shower of tossers refusing to give the ball back, thus meaning that a replacement ball had to be called for, it was all Poll's fault because he compensated by allowing a total of five minutes added time - five minutes in which Fulham equalised, so nobody's fault but the Ref's?
You couldn't make it up.

And against West Ham no less! The FA rule book clearly states, in section 7B, "West Ham United Football Club are exempt from all rules given above".

Sorry to spoil your fun Batty, but if they beat their next opponents by 8 more goals than Wigan, assuming the pie eaters lose, then they could pull out of the relegation zone! And it gets worse for you, their next game is against fellow relegation candidates - The Toon at, up 57 flights of stairs, St James's.

I think we should have a predict the Sham score thread.
