West Ham are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Find the contradiction between these 2 reports ...
Alan Curbishley says he is not overspending during the transfer window after splashing out on Calum Davenport - and reportedly offering Lucas Neill £60,000 a week. (The Sun)
West Ham will make a £6m bid for Birmingham's Matthew Upson after having a £4m bid rejected on Thursday. (Daily Star)
I'd like to play him at poker.

"Here's £4m" ... "no thanks" ... " ... er, ok then, here's £6m" ... "Gosh, I wish I'd said 'yes' to £4 now !!"

I know some is paper talk, but these guys seem to be offering massive sums & huge wages. If this all fails they are so fckd !
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Even if they stay up they could be in a lot of trouble. What do you do with an enormous roster of overpaid, average players when you're in 17th place? Right now they are gobbling up players in the hope that some combination of their huge roster will be able to keep them up. But that is no way to progress as a football club; it hasn't worked for Liverpool and Tottenham. How will this many new arrivals gel into a cohesive unit that will be able to move up the table next year? Owners will splash out for a relegation battle, but that money won't be there forever. Regardless of whether or not they stay up, there will have to be a fire sale in June.

I'll take Reo-Coker, please.

I don't see why. In the light of the last three dismal league performances, it's the only enjoyment we get.

I'm sorry but the law states - "if, in the referees opinion..." , so it's all about his opinion, nothing more specific than that, so there will always be calls that others don't agree on. Either the PTB accept that of they make laws more specific.

I watched it and Parker is hardly stood next to Carrol, he didn't touch the ball, impede the keeper and his distance from the goal and position does leave some doubt as to whether he distracted the keeper.

But Carrol (IMO) thought Parker was going to poke it in and delayed his dive by a split second, wether he would have had it covered is still debatable, but if it was against us, we'd be moaning about it, no doubt!
