The wramblin wreck from Georgia Tech.

I hate them, I am a UVa fan. (University of Virginia) they have no such claim to fame.

notlob wrote:Someone mentioned the Steelers previously and asked why they are sucking, and the answer is of course that their vaunted QB is I think showing his true stripes. He's a very average QB who has been blessed with above average receivers. I have felt that ever since I saw him first play. People claim that he's just a winner, and I say that sort of thing only goes so far, and is usually just a way of saying "I don't have an argument". At any rate, Ben has found a way to prove to everyone this year that he is a "loser". Interceptions have always been his Achilles heel, and this year, it's become what a friend of mine used to call, his Achilles torso.

Part of this animus is no doubt due to my status as a Seahawks fan, and the fact that the Steelers led by that puke Roethlisberger, managed to eek out a Superbowl victory that they deserved only in the most technical sense. Hines Ward was a god in that game and probably the most deserving MVP I can remember.

By the way, I flat out love the fact that the Seahawks are bucking the trend of superbowl losers having horrible follow on seasons. It's been rocky this year, no doubt, but they will win their division and get to 10 victories. Not bad when last year's league MVP and their top flight QB have been injured for good parts of the season.

Go Seahawks!
Seahawks suck

He was a defensive back for the Denver Broncos, and fairly decent. He was leaving a night club in a strecth SUV limo. Somebody shot up the car and he hew killed. By all accounts he was a great person. However he had been involved in an argument earlier at the club.

Mainly it's down to those idiots in America who think that shooting a gun is the way to show you are a man.

He was one of the top CB's in the game..he rarely got beat for 6 and did very well against bigger WR's considering he was only 5-8.

Also I guarantee that Peyton is going to choke against the Ravens..there's no way he figures out that Defense!!

pfft , he was good .. the team seem to get decisions going their way a lot though , but that happens everywhere with everything , the bigboys have the higher ups in their pockets (nowhere more so than soccer) .. not really sure why the new colts are 'big' in this way though (reminds me of everton at bit, cept even more '...back in the day' ) , maybe somebody there has pictures of somebody or similar or maybe its down to big market money or summert.. ??

Indy is a small town. it's like the 52nd largest TV market in the states. They are ran well, and Peyton is a draw for sure. I doubt the NFL would want them in the Super Bowl over the Pats though. (5th Largest Market)

I think the Colts will win - won't be a good year for bears, bruins, etc.

LOL even in the NFL thread Monty. The Bears have a good defense, and my man Thomas Jones. We'll see.

I think Manning will play into the Bears hands with the dink and dunk offense and against the Cover 2 that's a bad idea.

I just don't want Manning to win a Super Bowl because all the Manning is the best QB ever crap will start even though Brady, Montana, Young and possibly Favre are better.

Also Favre has announced he will come back next season.
