West Ham are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

[obvious statement]

£17 million is more than Barcelona paid for Ronaldinho.

Darren Bent is not as good as Ronaldinho.

[/obvious statement]

Karma is punishing Neill for his incredibly unambitious move.

Centre Half from League's poorest defence is now 'good enough'

http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hli ... tball_home&

Sky Sports News understands that Charlton Athletic have turned down a £2.5million bid from relegation rivals Wet Spam for Hermann Hreidarsson.

The Spammers have been working hard to strengthen their defence in January and recently saw two approaches for Birmingham's Matthew Upson rejected by the Championship club.

Now Alan Curbishley has been met with a firm 'no' by his former employers after attempting to bring Hreidarsson to Upton Park.

The Icelandic international has been a valuable asset for The Addicks since joining from Ipswich in 2003 and is likely to be a key figure if Alan Pardew is to steer the club away from trouble.

Wet Spam continue the search for defensive reinforcements, but the London side have received some welcome news in that new signing Lucas Neill has only been ruled out of action for up to three weeks.

The Australian international picked up an ankle injury on his debut after joining from Blackburn Rovers, but has only suffered minor damage.

"Lucas suffered an inversion sprain to his right ankle," head physiotherapist Steve Allen told the club's official website.

"Following MRI scans on Sunday, his estimated recovery time is two to three weeks, but we are hopeful that he could be back sooner."

And they've had a quite staggering £6m turned down by Brum for the flat of foot Matty 'where's that Leroy Lita gone now' Upson. Get shot, Brucey. Get shot!

None - they'd rather sit in the dark and blame the northern monkeys for everything that's wrong.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

For connoisseurs of Wet Sham misery, I would recommend this thread.

It's got the lot. Complaints about the players, the lack of atmosphere, the management, fans fighting amongst themselves and someone's eight year old returning from school in tears because his mates are taking the piss out of him.

And they've replaced the Hammerettes with Bonnie Tyler. Now that's uncalled for.

Enjoy.

the first response in that thread is thus..
True fans stay loyal - Just remember Like my dreams they fade and die.

Cut yourself and see the claret and blue blood run free my son.
seems like self harming is the way to handle things for shammers at the moment.

I loved the bit about the club appeasing them with Bonnie Tyler. I can just see Neville Chamberlain coming down the steps of the aircraft with the sheet music to 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' and declaring 'peace for our time'.

I don't know about todays game and who I want to lose? Liverpool because we could still catch them or West ham because they're West ham.

Sheffield United up 2-0 over Fulham and Wigan level with Reading, very bad news for West Ham. Excellent news for us :)
