Liverpool's going all American!

Post by FaninOz » Fri Feb 02, 2007 2:30 pm

Looks like two strikes and your out for Dubai now that Liverpool have accepted an offer from the Yanks. Could result in problems for the design of the new stadium which will have to have space for a baseball diamond and a skating rink. Hicks and Gillett own rival Hockey Teams so thats good for future harmony in the club.

Perhaps Dubai will come in to buy Bolton now just to show Liverpool what they are missing out on.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

Would that mean that we would be treated to two Superbowls a season?

This is going to suck. I want to see American players, not owners.

Hello to the LFC Liverbirds....

I could go on but I'll merely state: I am very unhappy that the DIC deal fell through and it is the bid that should have been accepted.

I wouldn't worry about the hockey rivalry. Dallas and Montreal are not in the same conference let alone division. It is quite possible that we would not play them at all in any particular season, while we play AT's Bruins and Gertie's Maple Laughs 8 times each. If Montreal plays Dallas it would be in the Stanley Cup final series and Gillett and Hicks would be so happy to be there at all there would be no rivalry. The odds against a Montreal Dallas final would also be quite high.

More often a Stupor Bowl - but hopefully Sunday's game will be better.

Good point, look how the Glasers have ruined ManUtd! :P

And American players are slowly but surely advancing, as I'm sure you've noticed.

What now, the Scouse version of the Reebok Rebels and a new chant to "Glory, Glory, Hallelujah?

"Want me to mind yer car Mister Gillette?".

"Can it put fires out"
