Famous Relations

Post by Salford Trotter » Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:20 am

I've just found out tonight, from a relative in Ireland, that John McEnroe is my second cousin and so I wondered whether my fellow whites had any famous relatives

None. Not with my surname meaning that I am in the 13th percentile class wise. :P

Although I could be distantly related to some Lawton from football somehow.

My cousin was landlord of the "Blue Boar" for years and another one ran "The Griffin" for quite a while. Not too impressed hey? :(

Okay, the wife (until his death a couple of years ago) was cousin to Welsh film and TV star Glyn Owen. Bit better? :D

I was once nearly knocked down in Radcliffe by Len Fairclough, does that count?

I was on my way to work when it happened. I told him to pull his finger out.

Paul Mariner is my Mum's cousin. He came to my sister's Christening and had to come in the back entrance of the Church so he wasn't seen :P
