I beg to differ, he's a petulant, granny-shagging, Scouse tw*t!Bruce Rioja wrote:Absolutely, the 'keeper may have spilled it at first but he'd got both hands on it whilst Rooney was still on his feet. My point though not made eloquently was that Sam was not supposed to be the pretty choice in terms of football. yet all game long Mclaren's side just whacked it up the field. To 2 people who clearly suffer from that type of service. At least if Sam had them playing long ball it would be worked on and done with a side of players prepared to make the best of it.communistworkethic wrote:anyone else this this is somewhat self-contradictory? Long balls? Sam? Er..hello?americantrotter wrote:
My one real complaint? The fecking stupid long balls. FFS Sam would have England killing the likes of Israel. Shame we didn't lose. I hate that ginger bastard.
Anyways, I have an unshakable belief that Sam would let Gerrard play in the middle and put Fat Frank on the bench. I have no idea what Frank has on the FA, but it must involve live boys, dead girls, and barnyard animals.
Sam rates Lampard very highly. As much as i think Sam would do better than Mclaren as he would at least overhaul and completely change the set-up and the way tings are run, we have seen his inability to drop his favourites- Nolan, Campo, Speed, Pederson.
So i don't see why it would be much different with England.

My views are known, they start with "McClaren" & end with "out".
He's a pointless, useless, clueless prick.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

The same Steve Coppell who quit City because of the stress of the job?! He's found a nice club with little expectectations / pressure and so is thriving - he couldn't hack the England job.cowdrill wrote:the only Englishman capable (apart from our very own Samuel) is Steve Coppell
'arry rednap would have been better than steve mcnobshite
The man for England is Sam, always was and always will be until someone better comes along.

Na, Coppell left city due to family problems.
My choice would be, removing injuries:
GK: Robinson - Still a close one between him and Foster
RB: Neville - Mr Consistent
CB: Carragher - Consistent and at best at centre-half.
CB: Terry - Captain
LB: Bridge - When fit. A LOT better than Ashley Cole. Barry there when Bridge not fit.
RM: Lennon - NOT on the left, he's a RIGHT MIDFIELDER.
CM: Hargreaves - Balances out the midfield
CM: Gerrard - Would be a lot better without Lampard
LM: Still a tough one this, but Shaun Wright Phillips hasn't done bad on the left for Chelsea
ST: Rooney - Still number 1 striker for England
ST: Crouch - Thrive off crosses from Lennon and Gerrard
Owen won't be back for ages so I haven't included him. As for Lampard, he's been constantly shit for England and deserves to be dropped. Ferdinand looks dodgy at times and should be on the bench. Ashley Cole, wouldn't even pick him.

Indeed. My spies allege that his position was rendered untenable after him being caught inflagranti with a member of the playing staff (one that may well have bent over and thought of Georgia, we hear).communistworkethic wrote:I thought it was because they didn't want another gay in the village?Loyal White wrote:"He left Palace in the autumn of 1996 to become manager of Manchester City, a job that he would quit after only six games, citing the pressure of the job as his reason."LeeRoyBrown wrote:Loyal White wrote:The same Steve Coppell who quit City because of the stress of the job?!

Tell me what he's done wrong in an England shirt. He's scored in nearly every game.daxter15 wrote:You would play Crouch, INSANE.
True in terms of heading for power, but he's very good at bringing the ball down, flick-ons, and controlling the ball in the air.Batman wrote:daxter15 wrote:You would play Crouch, INSANE.
'Thrive off crosses' ??
He is appalling in the air.

Whilst I don't disagree he might be the best of a bad lot, but his goals have mostly come against the likes of Trinidad, Jamaica, Macedonia etc, all the minnows.....Epitaph wrote:Tell me what he's done wrong in an England shirt.
