Barely recognisable now they've been proofed and Anglicised :wink2:

But yeah, I'd imagine that'd be a good idea. Hold them in the recycle bin for a couple of months..
I do have to point out that early manuscript drafts of works by outstanding novelists have a value in themselves for researchers. Let us not destroy the first fruits...
Is that true? Right! I'm off to ebay a pdf copy of the original works. :wink2:

Well, yes except they do have to be recognized at some future date as an outstanding novelist - so some judgement or lucky guesswork is required. When it comes to fame, many are called but few are chosen...

God bless his soul. :D
The person who causes his death is a much more interesting character. :D
Did a poor job though - didn't he pop up again in the sequel?
You'll find out next week, when 'The Fog of Clarity' - the sequel to 'The Wanderer' is launched on General Banter next week. The first twleve chapters will be posted all at once.

Survivers from the first novel:

Commie - Hero/anti hero

Gertie - Herione

Steady - Hero's daddy

Ratbert - Ugly hero

Mummy - See Ratbert

Perfan - Tyrant

Enfield - Hero? Villian?

Monty - Snob/Last mayor of Upland

Plus many many new characters

The plot?

'The Fog of Clarity' starts were the last one ended. Commie finds himself on the surface, leaving his love, father and Dan Ryder behind. His aim is to make his way to London to rescue the last Mayor of Upland who is being held by 'Bear' the head of the Hunters. Commie will also find himself being hunted by a psychotic nemisis, who now only lives for one reason, the death of the man who condemned him to life in prison.

Ratbert, Mummy and Enfield and the Rats all found themselves given high positions working for The Order. Yet their prosperous lives are about to be turned upside down. Unbeknown to them a deadly biological agent is planned to be released on the surface, that will save all plant life but kill all other life including ten thousand Hunters. The Order, afraid of an uprising from the populous, need a scapegoat. Someone they can claim launched the agent as a terrorist attack. Who better then a Radiate and his friends.

It's a story that will have you asking yourself just who are the good guys and who are the bad.

Sorry no football in the sequel  But plenty of hack and slash action!

Thanks to everyone for their kind words :D

Especially Mummy, Bruce and Batman (You are all now being put in the sequal as three travelling french gay estate agents! )

Hang on a minute!
Monty - Snob/Last mayor of Upland
I may be a snob and my primary school in Bolton was called Uplands, but I don't remember being in the first novel at all. Surely that was someone else. Do I have any sort of case here, Mummy?

 A surprise introduction when I least expected it - typical of the military mind.

I don't have word at the minute, so I have to do recheck and recheck again for any spelling or grammar mistakes.

*Cue several posters pointing out all my spelling and grammar mistakes!*

Six chapters up so far. The mayor is mentioned several times but no word of snobbery or even a name (thank God). However, being Perfan's son could be interesting....
