Guess the destination
Right, after my insane 65-hour deadline week, and her family's health problems (don't go there - her dad's just had a heart attack and our 9-month-old nephew is about to undergo his second bout of chemotherapy for leukemia), and with the little Barnettas back up in Bolton and their grandparents', Mrs Barnet has decided that the time is ripe for she and I to make a lightning dash away together. And she's keeping the destination secret until as late as possible (we fly tomorrow morning).
Not that I want to know the answer, but would anyone care to guess where we're off? I'll award a small cyber-prize to the winner or nearest guesser.

What you have to work on:
- We're flying from Heathrow (handily, only 20 minutes from Casa Barnet)
Passport needed
I've been told to pack long trousers, cut-offs and shorts (mind you that could be England at the mo)
She thinks we've been to spain too often (in our decade together we've visited Leon, Bilbao, Barcelona, the south...) but I quite like it
I think we've been to France FAR too often but she quite likes it
We've been to Prague before. And Amsterdam. Lovely lovely Amsterdam.
Nipped briefly to Venice but only to start a cruise (sounds expensive but it wasn't - last-minute deal on the only viable holiday option for the frazzled parents of six-month-old twins)
Yon cruise took us to Dubrovnik, which we liked, and Greece, which we didn't particularly (and I've been there half a dozen times)
We've idly mentioned Bulgaria as a destination before but not for a goodly while

Hmm - it's a bit tough for foreigners. Does passport needed mean the destination is not part of the European Union? Or do you need a passport there? Somewhere cool in the evening, but where they wear shorts in the day. Okay, my guess is a cruise up the Rhine or Budapest. Meanwhile I hope you enjoy your stay in Lapland.

A trip anywhere outside the U.K. requires a passport, even within the E.U.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Hmm - it's a bit tough for foreigners. Does passport needed mean the destination is not part of the European Union? Or do you need a passport there?
My guess would be that she's finally decided to visit Bulgaria.
