To tell you the truth I didn't know you were black, if indeed you are. It's not something we pay much attention to in Montreal - the focus of our stupidities tends to be language. No, it's because I would have trouble keeping a straight face introducing someone called Nozza to the barman.Nozza wrote:Is it cos I is black?Montreal Wanderer wrote:No, you are Nozza and I will no longer buy you a drink next time you are in Montreal.Nozza wrote:I'm positive.

Unfortunately Monty you've run into a British pop culture reference from 'Nozza' there. He's mimicking Sasha Baron Cohen's character of 'Ali G' who regularly trotted out the line for smallest of indiscretions against him.

Ah! Thanks, Athers - I have seen Cohen's movie and a couple of Ali G "interviews" but did not hear that reference. Nozza's colour remains moot.Athers wrote:Unfortunately Monty you've run into a British pop culture reference from 'Nozza' there. Old nautical name for someone who is wet behind the ears, though I think Nozzer is the correct spelling. I would imagine "Nozza" to be a shortened version of Norman.americantrotter wrote:Nozza? What the hell is that?
As far as SH is concerned I think he should keep his name as a monument to "If".
Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.
I think it's short for Nyron Nosworthy who would appear to be the artist formerly known as Hoolio's favourite player.Gravedigger wrote:Old nautical name for someone who is wet behind the ears, though I think Nozzer is the correct spelling. Yes, that seems conclusive unless like Crazy Horse he picks up random guys on the internet.David Lee's Hair wrote:http://www.the-wanderer.co.uk/boards/vi ... &start=380Montreal Wanderer wrote:Ah!
