Luckily, I never ventured into the gay side of music, but I did buy a couple of Slipknot albums when I was younger! Shame

It's all about Milburn, Little Man Tate, Maximo Park etc these days, and can't go wrong with a bit of Bad Religion and NOFX in there as well! (Just for you Cowdrill

After that you might as well admit to a penchant for Chas and Dave.![]()
Add in a bit of Billy Joel in there too, In the middle of the night I go walking in my dreams......
Also having been a student about the time it cam out 5 If Ya Gettin' Down holds a bit of a soft spot for me from many a night in Planet Earth and Majestiks
In God's name, man have you no shame? You've turned a thread about guilty pleasures into a full blown fetishistic confession! You'll be liking 'something 'bout you baby I like' and 'Marguerita Time' I suppose?
You f*cking pervert!

Aaaah... the Quo...enfieldwhite wrote:Never feel guilty about liking the Quo! (pre 1983)
'Caroline' is ace! As is 'Down Down'!
Let's not forget that ver Quo started off making sublime psychedelia in the shape of 'Ice in the Sun' and 'Pictures of Matchstick Men' (no, not that one)
Nice to see unburdening all 'round.

I only really listen to music that other people deem to be gay. My MP3 player is full of such classics as 5ive, Backstreet Boys, Boyzone, Steps, A1, Spice Girls, Wham, Neil Diamond, Bay City Rollers, even Eton Road and I don't care cos I don't like all this modern guitar or RnB music, bring back pop I say!

Not a guilty pleasure at all. Simon and Garfunkel's reunion gig in Hyde Park is one of the greatest performances ever.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:'Mmmm Bop' by Hanson
Musicals (not gay)
'Ocean Drive' by the Lighthouse Family
Elton John
Simon and Garfunkel Greatest Hits
And Cowdrill, you mean to say that Dexy's Midnight Runners have made more songs than 'Come on Eileen'?!
Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water live is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever.

Scarborough Fair's been a favourite since it first came out. Always liked Homeward Bound too, apparently written on a railway station in Warrington or somewhere. Good stuff. Now I'm really going to sink low: Guitar Tango by Hank Marvin is a real favourite of mine, especially the last version with his son and another guitarist. There you go, that's guilt.Idiot Wind wrote:Not a guilty pleasure at all. Widnes according to an interview that Simon did on Parky years ago. He also revealed that Garfunkel didn't like Bridge Over Troubled Water the first time he played it for him.TANGODANCER wrote:Scarborough Fair's been a favourite since it first came out. Sounds right for Widnes

I can't believe that I'm admitting this outloud...
BUT I have a bit of a thing for Tony Hadley and have seen him about 20 times live
He does a really good show with some old Spandau stuff, Big Band and some of his own work and then some covers of stuff like Elvis. He has some great banter with the crowd which are mainly women (all older than me I hasten to add.)
I even went to a thing he did at the Reebok 3 or 4 years ago which was all Bond theme tunes with a full orchestra he was great. I should be ashamed but I'm not he's fabby.

I went to see him at Bolton Albert Halls a few years back and he was ace. I also saw him and Peter Cox from Go West at Preston Guild Hall which was good aswell.Gertie wrote:I can't believe that I'm admitting this outloud...
