I'd hazard a guess that'll be highly unlikely, given I've not picked up my sticks in anger since possibly the last TW Open. I'll have played a couple of rounds in Ireland in June, but that'll be probably the only prep that I have for this... Still looking forward to it, though - always enjoy a good hack around the place.

I'll bring along the 'nearest the pin' trophy, too, to pass on to this year's winner
Don't bother there will be new trophies this year.

William Hills have me odds on to retain the "Atlantis Trophy", but don't put your money on it.

Where's your home club, Gaiser? Don't fancy the trip over in July? :D

I would give anything to be there in july, but i'm in the middle of a job change which recuires a move to gothenburg. (400km closer to Bolton :D ) Which is a good thing cause that's my home town and the location of my home golf club. (öijared golf club)

But "never say never" who knows I might be there and hope fore a wild card.

Sneaky!

I went to the Range last night for probably the first time since last year's TW Open.

Don't fancy this par five at the US Open much:

Or the 300-yard par three.

Whilst mummy's bringing up the subject of the US Open...

...who do we fancy to win it?

I'll stick my virtual fiver on Vijay Singh, with Luke Donald top European

My money's on Monty if he can master the greens.

I'm looking forward to the TW Open now, blagged a pair of these comfy buggers:

Just need to perfect my game now on the course, i'm sick of the range.

There is a par three hole at Troon that is only something like 135 yds tee to pin. It's called the "Postage Stamp". It's a distance you could hit with a wedge or easy nine iron almost every time on a driving range or practise area. Trouble is, it's just a green in the midst of a jungle. You get on the tee, the sirens start to sing and.....oh, shxt"

In this week's US Open there is a 288 yard par three. I'd have to borrow one of SOTWA's bazookas for that nowadays.
