making it up? Just pointing out you won a mickey mouse cup ... incidentally for the 4th time, which only you ( the USofA) take seriously, no doubt becaue it's the one cup you have a chance of winning - USofA likes things it can win, like the "World Series". To anyone else, Copa America takes precendence.

I watched around 25 games this season I believe; the combination of Fox Soccer Channel, pirate Chinese TV, and pubs gives me fairly decent access to the game.Bruce Rioja wrote:And what exactly do you get to see by way of Bolton Wanderers?H. Do you? Then at what point do you draw the mark? At what point is enough television sufficient to draw a worthwhile opinion, based on the grounds that you're saying that you've seen enough of Bolton, yet Commie hasn't seen enough of Copa Whatever?H. Well clearly he didn't watch zero games. He's already pointed out that he watched at least one, highlights or otherwise. And quite frankly, I'd take Commie's opinion, formed over a one eyed glance at twenty seconds worth of footage captured on a shakey mobile phone over your considered opinion, even if you were at the ground.H. Now you're just scrambling because you've been caught assuming Commie had seen any games in the tournament and that I had seen a couple of Bolton goals on youtube this season. Give it up.Bruce Rioja wrote:And quite frankly, I'd take Commie's opinion, formed over a one eyed glance at twenty seconds worth of footage captured on a shakey mobile phone over your considered opinion, even if you were at the ground.

What? What utter bollocks. Firstly, you've failed to qualify the very point I asked you to in relation to TV coverage. Other than that, my point was that (clearly obvious to all but you) that regardless of how much you've seen over the course of a season on TV, (now read this, I thought that I'd made it obvious last time, but clearly not obvious for the likes of you) I'd take the opinion of the likes of Commie, given from a 20 second, one eyed glance at some footage gathered on a shakey mobile phone, than that garnered from a complete season's worth of Yankee bollocks TV footage delivered by a bell end that hasn't a fecking clue what on earth it is that he's talking about, like you! Clear enough?H. Aye, having slaughtered Canada 2-1 in the semi, thanks to a linesman who is so blind or stupid he couldn't see the ball come off that useless lump Onyewu and therefore it not be offside, you beat reserves, injured and tired players on home turf. Well done. I await Landon Donovan picking up the next World Cup.

When North American commentators recognize the ref and linesman made a mistake, you know it's a real howler! Still, if your team is shite I wonder what that makes us as a soccer power. What is two rungs below shite?americantrotter wrote:Was a bad call Monty that's for sure. The US took the Gold Cup far more seriously in an effort to qualify for the Confederation's Cup. They wanted CopaAmerica to blood the youngsters in competetive football outside CONCACAF.
It's no surprise they are shite.
