Keano aims for treble!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Not much. Hearts rejected a bid of 9 million quid for him. They wanted more. I reckon we'll still get him like. Either that, or Jussi...as the rumours are doing the rounds again...

Nugent the nugget turned us down cos Keane was 'impatient'.

I reckon it was cos Keane makes a shit cuppa:
Keane responded: “I wasn’t impatient with Nugent. I waited five weeks. If he thinks that is me being impatient he doesn’t know me. I don’t know why he was disappointed. I made him a cup of tea. The deal wasn’t sitting right but only time will tell if he made the right decision. I wish him well.”

at it again, class
always thought hje was a bit of a tw*t but after the tunnel incident with Viera, the prawn sandwich thing, the up-yer-arse row and now this, I'm beginning to think the man's a genius. You can see the influence of old big 'ead, can't you?

This sort of things been going on for years though... Players trying to keep their wives happy.

It's good to hear a big name manager come out and ridicule it though.

I bet it's not just the wives who want to stay near London for the shops.. I imagine some of the modern players wouldn't be able to cope without a regular visit to their stylist.

Seems to have escalated recently - That fooking sideshow at the world cup was embarrassing.

Indeed. However, I seem to recal a diminutive Isrealite snubbing us for West Ham on the grounds that he didn't want to live in the north and wanted to live in London. Nothing whatsoever to do with the money then? Especially being as he now plys his trade in said grim North. Basically it's got nothing to do with location, it's all to do with players not wanting toplay for the likes of us or Sunderland, and the sort of money that we pay when there's always going to be clubs that are prepared to pay more. Afterall, the North West is perfectly good enough for the stars of Man U and Liverpool, as is the North East for Newcastle's lot.
